THE
SIGN OF NEW COVENANT
The
sign of old covenant is described in Gen. 17
Gen.
17: 7- And
I will establish My covenant between Me and thee and thy seed after thee in
their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto
thee, and to thy seed after thee.
9-
And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep My covenant therefore, thou, and
thy seed after thee in their generations.—(Generation
by generation ….goes on for everlasting covenant).
10
-This is My covenant, which ye shall keep, between Me and you and thy seed
after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
11
-And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token
of the covenant betwixt me and you.
SO THAT WAS THE SIGN OF OLD COVENANT.
LAW
ADDED UNTIL SEED COMES TO WHOM PROMISE WAS MADE, Ga 3:19, (it is to Abraham’s
seed, Gen. 17: 1-9, IN THE OLD COVENANT, the sign of covenant is circumcision
of foreskins, vv. 10, 11----
All ISRAEL failed, Dan 9: 11---end time
church which had the covenant, Eze. 16: 8----broke the covenant, Eze. 16:
59---and the EVERLASTING COVENANT would be made with them AGAIN, Eze. 16:
60-63.
The sign of New Covenant is circumcision made without hands,
by putting off body of sins through circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptizm to be
raised, and you would be dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of flesh removed, Col 2:11-13 )—
Col 2: 11- In whom also ye are circumcised with
the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the
flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with Him in
baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation
of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 -And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of
your flesh, hath He quickened together with Him, having forgiven you all
trespasses;-- Ro 6:11 Likewise reckon ye
also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus
Christ our Lord.
Col 2: 14 -Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was
against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to
his cross;
15-And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew
of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16 -Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in
respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: {in
meat … : or, for eating and drinking } {respect: or, part }
17-Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of
Christ.
Whatever had been done under law, are forgiven through the blood
shed at death of JESUS CHRIST---therefore we are to receive Baptizm unto His
death, to be born again in newness of life, Rom 6: 3-7, which gives HIS
RIGHTEOUSNESS UNTO HOLINESS, to serve Him, Vs. 19, 22. ---- it is putting off body of
sins through circumcision of Christ,
Just as token of old covenant was circumcision of foreskin, token of
New Covenant is circumcision of Christ---to put off sin through His
sacrifice---so that RIGHTEOUSNESS unto HOLINESS would be received, Rom. 6: 19,
22, through baptizm of Rom. 6, 3-7.
THIS IS Baptizm unto His death, WHICH
WE SHOULD RECEIVE -------to be born again in newness of life, Rom 6: 3-7, which
gives HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS UNTO HOLINESS, to serve Him, Vs. 19, 22.
Ro 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart,
in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
AS
ETERNAL COVENANT IS A COVENANT OF PEACE, Eze. 37: 24-28, AND HOLINESS IS
REQUIRED FOR THAT, (Heb 12:14 -Follow peace with
all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the LORD), LORD
JESUS CHRIST PAVES THE WAY TO GET THAT HOLINESS THROUGH HIS SACRIFICE, SO THAT
ETERNAL INHERITANCE COULD BE GIVEN THROUGH HIS SACRIFICE, to the CALLED OUT,
Heb. 9: 15.
