Wisdom of ALMIGHTY had made COUNTLESS Righteous COUNSELS to establish HIS SECOND COVENANT under HIS SCEPTRE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, through HIS ONE OFFERING, Heb. 10: 7-10, 14. One major counsel is 2 Co 5: 19

When CHRIST serves as HUSBAND OF CHURCH

HE CLEANSES THE CHURCH with EAST WIND

Rom. 7; 4--- Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.—UNDERSTAND all those precepts!---

·        we become dead to the law when Rom. 6: 3-7 happens, because we enter Law of Spirit of Life in Jesus Christ, Ro 8: 2 that FREES US from Law of Sin to death, Ro 8: 2!

·        Then we marry JESUS CHRIST who gives us His baptizm through HIS DEATH AND RESURRECTION---becoming wife NEW JERUSALEM

·        That baptizm paves the WAY TO BRING FRUIT UNTO GOD ---that is we would exalt His Covenant and changed law, Heb. 7: 12, and teach A NEXT GENERATION---they in turn would make such a generation, and that work would be REPEATED FROEVER, Isa. 59: 21—

·        That means the Covenant WOULD LAST FOREVER---THAT IS THE WAY LORD PRESERVES ISRAEL, preserving descendants of ABRAHAM (Any believer, of All Flesh) through His baptizm, Gal 3: 26-29, so that ALL FLESH would worship Him, Isa. 66: 23,

LORD’S JUDGMENT IS THAT ONCE MARRIED TO THE LORD THROUGH JOINING BY SPIRIT, the wife cannot marry from the world, BECAUSE THAT BELIEVER HAS TO SERVE GOD, Rom. 7: 4. THESE ARE LESSONS FOR ISRAEL MINISTRY!

WHEN SANCTIFIED BY BLOOD OF CHRIST, 1 Co 1: 2, Heb. 12: 24, we should not do such things---1Th 4:3 -For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication

LORD REQUIRES LOST SHEEP OF ISRAEL 

Mt 15:24 -But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel

Tarshish work is for lost sheep to build them for New Covenant, to be built for New Covenant!

Ps 93:4 -The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. LORD COMPARES THE HARLOT TURNED CHURCH PCG AS IN NATIONS, which is “MANY WATERS”, Rev. 17: 1-5, 15---they ROAR in “trumpet” as WAVES OF SEA, because the RUIN OF JERUSALEM is compared TO SEA, La. 2:1 3.

Na 1:3 -The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.

COULD WE SEE, LORD CREATED the “EAST WIND” from ships of Tarshish, Ps. 48: 7, and the times of gentiles, DAY OF THE LORD as “CLOUDS”, Eze.30; 3, ---  and the clouds are the dust of His feet, Nah 1: 3!---

In No. 610---INHERITANCE OF SPIRIT

Ex. 3, 13, 23, Neh 9: 6—18 says of ISRAEL saved BY GOD ALMIGHTY from Pharaoh and were given inheritance (Canaan, and other places mentioned in those vv.). That was physical inheritance for 1^st Covenant, and LORD saved ISRAEL from hard hearted Pharaoh, so that HIS PEOPLE ISRAEL WOULD WORSHIP HIM! ----in ESTABLISHMENT of the Eternal Covenant of Peace TOO, LORD created a Pharaoh, TO SHOW GOD’S POWER, Rom. 9: 17, the HARD HEARTED Pharaoh who is NOW CAPTIVE in Babylon, Eze.17: 17-20, IS NOT RELEASING GOD’S PEOPLE to WORSHIP HIM IN THE SECOND COVENANT which would be ETERNAL, and HE HINDERS ISRAEL GETTING THEIR SPIRITUAL INHERITANCE of HIS HOLY SPIRIT!! ---

IN Eternal Covenant, we get inheritance of HIS HOLY SPIRIT!! Gentiles got it, Gal 3: 14, Eph. 1: 11-14 (BUT some departed from faith, 1 Ti 4; 1-5) AND ISRAEL TOO WOULD GET THE SAME INHERITANCE, TO BE IN the CITY OF LIVING GOD, Heb. 12: 22-25! 

We gentiles are to declare these things to ISRAEL, Rom. 11: 30-31.

During PCG days LORD would make the New Covenant, Eze. 16: 60-63.

Isa. 28: 21— For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, He shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that He may do His work, His strange work; and bring to pass His act, His strange act.

AT GIBEON---Joshua 10: 6-14---vs. 11—HAILSTONES SENT FROM HEAVEN, killed more men than those were killed by SWORD of children of ISRAEL, when they fought the kings and armies of enemies! I had written of hail from these articles (Written below)! 

WE SEE THE BREAKTHROUGH OF WATER sent by GOD, HIS BANNER, Isa. 11: 9—11, in ---www.restoringcaptivity.com –LORD had made the belly of a believer send that LIVING WATER , Joh 7:38--- and a fountain of water FOR CLEASNING FROM SIN---

Zec 13: 1 - In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

2 -And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.

WATER causes the evil Spirits to vanish---that means kingdom of God has come, Mt 12:28.

The idol H.W.Armstrong would be CUT OFF FROM LAND OF GOD!!---NO MORE REMEMBERED!! Church amidst ISRAEL had done EVIL---Jer 7:30 -For the children of Judah have done evil in My sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by My name, to pollute it.

Jer 32:34 -But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by My name, to defile it.

Eze 20:39 -As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto Me: but pollute ye My holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.

HE WOULD END CAPTIVITY--Eze 39:25  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for My holy name;

TO END CAPTIVITY HE IS MERCIFUL TO GRANT THEM REPENTANCE through HOLY SPIRIT AND THEN TO TURN TO HIM.

Hailstone Rev. 16: 21, weighs a talent—GOD SENDS HAIL---Isa. 33: 17 --Thine eyes shall see the king in His beauty: 18-- Thine heart shall meditate terror. Where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers? {Receiver: Heb. weigher?  (You see KING after seeing His terror---and a Scribe, the receiver weighs the HAIL)—

but what is SPIRITUAL HAIL?

Ps. 147: 17 -He casteth forth His hail like morsels: who can stand before His cold?

18 -He sendeth out His word, and melteth them: He causeth His wind to blow, and the waters flow. the margin says, MORSEL is “Fragments of food”

ALMIGHTY SENDS “HAIL LIKE MORSELS {fragments of food}”, Ps. 147: 17, 18---they are FOOD of correction! Then KING’S BEAUTY COULD BE SEEN WHEN THEY ARE CORRECTED, Isa. 33: 17!

THE SCRIBE weighs God’s words, that comes with TERROR, which is wind God blows through EAST WIND of Tarshish, Ps. 48: 7, -- wind blows and the waters flow.---THAT IS THE WAY GOD HAS TO FLOW Living waters of His through bellies of believers, Joh 7:38.

SOUTH WIND to FAN AWAY rubbish of ISRAEL –Isa 41: 16, through the work of POOR, vs. 17 (They are 1^st born of poor, Isa 14: 30) , ISRAEL would be beaten small, hills of wilderness, Rev.12: 14,  made as chaff,  this is a WORK that would make ISRAEL  and GENTILES rejoice IN THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, Isa 41: 16, for wilderness of Rev. 12: 14 (where LORD kept His woman)—would become A POOL OF WATER, vs. 18, the poor had got rivers of water, when they SEEK WATER, vs. 17—(These are the poor who were chased from PCG now sending WATER TO THEM!)

Isa 41:15 -Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.

16 -Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.

17 -When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

LORD DESTROYS WICKED WORKS OF HIS PEOPLE through EAST WIND AND BUILDS THEM in SECOND COVENANT!

CHRIST BUILDS HIS TEMPLE THROUGH HIS DEATH

HIS DEATH grants all blessings for HIS SPIRITUAL TEMPLE

Jn.  2: 19 -Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

21  But he spake of the temple of his body.

(Eph. 5; 26-- That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word), words for LIFE, (eternal life), Jn.  6: 63, comes as WATER –LIVING WATER, 

19- I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: when LORD separated NORTH and SOUTH, Zec. 14: 4, we see in Eze. 17: 22--24---PCG  leader as CEDAR (Pharaoh, Eze. 31: 1-3) was made low, but LORD took a tender twig of it and PLANTED  in mountain heights of ISRAEL, --and it will BECOME A GOODLY CEDAR, Eze. 17: 24  And all the trees of the field shall know that I the LORD have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree to flourish: I the LORD have spoken and have done it.

Isa 41: 20 -That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

·       LORD had taught ISRAEL a GOOD LESSON never to BE PROUD AGAINST GOD OF ISRAEL, to humbly walk with Him, to do justly, love mercy, fearing Him to OBEY HIS WORDS, Mic 6: 8.  (Mercy is shown from HIS SPIRIT, CHRIST the LORD IS THAT SPIRIT, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, 2 Co 3: 17. SPIRIT is His words, Jn. 6: 63, therefore MERCY is shown in HIS WORDS, the SPIRIT, ---SPIRIT is shown from scriptures ---and HIS WORDS ENDURES FOREVER, MERCY endures forever, Ps.  136—and we are to be DOERS OF WORD, Jam. 1: 23, 25.

ALL WHAT LORD requires is TO BE OBEDIENT TO HIS WORDS!

LORD’S WATER issue from EASTWARD, at the SOUTH SIDE of ALTAR, Eze.47: 1--waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.

Pr 25:25 - As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.

Isa 13:5 -They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

Promise is to ISRAEL and those of FAR, Acts. 2: 38, 39, far means isles of gentiles, Isa 33: 13, 17, Ps.  72: 10, Isa 42: 4, Isa 43: 3, Isa 66; 19) --958,-1016

PCG silver is cast out-- Eze.  7: 19--They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

Tarshish silver, Jer. 10: 9,  is made up of seven times purified SILVER, Ps.  12: 6!

THE SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS DUE to ISRAEL came to gentiles to serve when LORD destroys ERRED WORKS OF PCG --Eze.7: 24 -Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.—LORD brought east wind of Tarshish, Ps. 48; 7, they know SALVATION serving in Isa 56; 1-7, Sanctuary of PCG defiled, Eze. 24: 21

We gentiles know that GOD HID HIMSELF because of iniquity, Eze. 39: 21-23, Iniquity done in EAST, Eze.11:1-3 (25 ministers), it is recorded in PN Sep 2001 (PHILADELPHIA NEWS 2001)

·        When the words fulfill for captives to return, LORD would come from way of EAST shining with HIS GLORY, to show Ezekiel Temple, Eze. 43: 2, then HIS PEOPLE ARE MADE KNOWN OF Ezekiel temple ordinances to be ACCEPTED, Zadok’s sons to perform, Eze.  43; 18-27,

Then OUTER GATE of Sanctuary facing EAST would be closed, Eze.  44: 1-2, in NORTH GATE to the front of temple we would see GLORY OF LORD fills THE HOUSE OF LORD, Eze.  44: 4 (That means LORD returns to NORTH—then captivity would be over, He would come back to His habitation—from EPHRATAH, in the fields of the wood, Ps. 132: 6—Vs. 8  Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.). so HE WAS AWAY after He profaned PCG Sanctuary, Eze.  24: 21.

·        In Eze.  44 we see all Levites, strangers who sinned are to bear their iniquity, Zadok’s sons to come near Him.

·         In Eze.  45: 18-20 we see THEY HAVE TO BEGIN SERVING HIM, on 1^st day and 7^th day of 1^st month ---at the beginning of an YEAR!

Today, Mar 21^st 2021 is such a day!

They have to understand SECOND COVENANT WELL, to keep a TRUE PASSOVER!

·        When baptized in the name of MESSIAH, the promise of HOLY SPIRIT is for ISRAEL and for those of far, Acts. 2; 38, 39,  ---

Isa 30: 27- Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire:- Isa 13:5 They come from a far country, --weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

-HIS NAME CAME FROM FAR, (Saying of ships of Tarshish, Isa 60: 9 says His sons would be brought from FAR, ships of Tarshish were broken with an EAST WIND, Ps.  48: 7, Zec. 6; 15 says those of FAR serves to build His temple, --so the WORDS AS FIRE, Jer. 5: 14 came from FAR).God’s weapons of war comes from Far country—Hab. 1; 8-10. (Rivers in Coastlands, Isa 42; 4, 15, Isa 43; 11-13 (witness work), Isa 43; 14—Redeemer of ISRAEL had brought down PCG to Babylon, whose cry is in ships, Isa 43: 14, 15, (Isa 43: 14, 15 means PCG works are by ships to send their literature---A WORK AGAINST VISION OF BIBLE, against SECOND COVENANT written in Heb. 10: 7-10!!!) (PCG to be redeemed from Babylon, Mic 4; 10)—WE SHOULD SEE—PCG works in ships—therefore HE SENDS MESSAGES THROUGH SHIPS of Tarshish, Ps.48: 7!! Eze. 30: 9--In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh. LO, IT CAME!!

(Then believers as Dead to sin, Rom.6: 2 are changed to BE ALIVE from being dead, TO SERVE AS INSTRUMENTS OF Righteousness unto GOD MOST HIGH, by baptizm, Rom.  6: 3-23!

King Solomon’s Temple

The resplendent island of Sri Lanka has been the envy of many for its strategic maritime position. This geographical position together with our natural resources drew the attention of traders from across the world. Ancient records show details of Arab trading vessels which were later followed by the Portuguese and Dutch. Subsequently the British arrived here lured by our tropical pearls and cinnamon. Many know these stages of our maritime history. The people of Israel had established trading links with ancient Serendib (the Persian name for Ceylon).

It is believed that by the 12th century there were around 3,000 Jews living on this island engaged in business. They had lived in peace, sharing in our prosperity. Jews had resided in Colombo, Kandy and Galle in a bygone era. It is said that a Jewish synagogue had existed along Steuart Place, Colombo 3.

King Solomon’s fleet

Did King Solomon’s ships sail thousands of nautical miles to Ceylon? Ruling for 40 years, King Solomon was Israel’s wealthiest and visionary king. He was the son of King David who wrote many of the Old Testament Psalms and also killed the giant warrior Goliath. The Bible narrates how Solomon (Hebrew name Yedidyah, and in Islam – Suleiman) asked God for wisdom, and in turn was blessed with all things. His father King David desired to build the Temple on Mount Moriah, to keep the Ark of the Covenant, a gold chest containing the stone tablets of the Ten Commandments.

The project was begun and completed by King Solomon. He was able to wield his powerful influence across Israel, and is said to have collected 18,125 Kg of gold (666 talents) in a single year. Extending his prudent diplomacy, he made an alliance with King Hiram, and further consolidated his reign over Israel. It was in this background of blissful abundance that he was ordered by the High Priests to procure cinnamon oil to be used at religious rites in the holy Temple. This custom is found in the Book of Exodus where Moses is directed by God to use cinnamon oil. The book of (1 Kings, Chapter 8) talks about the magnificent feast when the Ark of the Covenant was brought in the month of Ethanim (possibly July) and placed inside the holy Temple. The massive temple was built to a Phoenician design (a clan of people famous for their purple Tyrian dye, who can be traced to present-day Lebanon). After building the Temple, Solomon spent 13 years building a royal palace in Ophel, Jerusalem.

The location of Tarshish?

King Solomon is said to have sent out his experienced naval fleet to an island in the East. The East in that era referred to the Orient, including Asia. It is from these ports that he obtained his cinnamon oil, along with peacocks and animals. He procured sandalwood, pepper, ivory, pearls and gems – items found abundantly in Sri Lanka. The long return journey took three years, a most daunting voyage (Book of Kings, Chapter 1, verse 23). Solomon had an established naval fleet which empowered Israel to excel in commercial trading. Chapter 9 of 2nd Chronicles talks of Solomon’s alliance for trade.

For decades, theologians and historians have intensely debated about the location of Tarshish, on the ancient mariner’s map. Many opine it is either the ancient port of Ophir located in India or Galle in Serendib (Sri Lanka). Others opine it could be Carthage (the second largest city in the Hellenistic period) in the sea of Tunisia. Ophir in India is said to be on the Kerala coast, in the Trivandrum District. In contrast, the 10th century lexicographer David Abraham thinks Ophir was an exotic location in old Ceylon.

Psalm 72 says that Tarshish was an island far away; it had rivers and forests. The Old Testament book of Ezekiel mentions trade ties with Tarshish, and ships of commerce. Whether Sri Lanka was known to the ancient Jews as Tarshish we can’t confirm, but can we assume that King Solomon got all his tropical delights from here? We must realize that the name Tarsus in the New Testament episode of Saul (who converted as Paul the Apostle) is a different town in south central Turkey.

The old skill of trading in peacocks is attributed to the Dravidian people. Ancient Tamils used this skill, and to date the peacock is a revered bird in the Hindu kovils in India and Sri Lanka. In his book of 1863, Sir William Smith attests that the classical Tamil name for peacock ‘thogkai’ was assimilated into Hebrew lingo for peacock, as ‘thukkiyyim’. This can support the cause that Solomon’s fleet sailed to our exotic island which still has thousands of peacocks. In 1845, James Emerson Tennant, the presiding Colonial Secretary also supported the fact that Solomon’s fleet had traded in Galle.

Samuel Bochart (French Biblical scholar) tries to convince us that the Kudiramalai area of old Ceylon was the port of Tarshish. The old Phoenicians also recorded their trade in Tarshish where they got ivory and gems, from an island. Some opine the Phoenicians lived in Galilee, Israel, in lands gifted to Hiram by King Solomon. Solomon probably acquired expensive sapphires and rubies from ancient Serandib, which directs us to another fact.

After building the Temple of Jerusalem, Solomon was instructed on sewing of the attire of the high priests (of the chosen Levite clan). Their ‘ephod’ (breastplate) had to be adorned with 12 gems, one for each tribe of Israel. These gems may have been taken from Tarshish. King Solomon’s throne (1 Kings, Chapter 10) was made with ivory and gold and inlaid with precious stones. The arms of the throne depicted two lions. Among the birds and animals engraved into the throne is a peacock. Did Solomon purchase these gems from Serendib?

The Queen of Sheba may have traded with the island of the East. She gifted Solomon with spices and precious stones. She was of Ethiopian descent (old Kingdom of Nubia) but some say she is from Saba (South of Saudi Arabia) towards Yemen. She is depicted in art with exotic animals and birds, including peacocks. Her chief merchant agent was a man named Tamrin.

Jews: from India to Ceylon

Certain parts of India still have an active Jewish population. The original Jews had come to Cochin and settled down in Kerala. They were dark skinned Malabar Jews. Their colony was called Anjuvannam, and their leader was Rabban. They lived here for 1,000 years. Later, in the 16th century, Jews of Spanish and British origin came to Madras and engaged in the lucrative diamond business. These migrants learnt to speak Malayalam and Tamil. The third wave of Syrian Jews came to the Kanyakumari region of India. Another segment of visiting Jews settled down in Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar until the Partition of India in 1947. Interestingly there is a small community of Telugu-speaking Jews claiming lineage from Ephraim.

The Jews of Cochin claim that their forefathers supplied King Solomon’s Temple with teak trees. The teak was shipped to Judea. It is believed that with time the Jews intermarried and shifted to Ceylon. The Jewish communities in 16th century Ceylon were subject to persecution by the Portuguese. In fear they abandoned their faith and surnames. Among them was a sub clan of Vishvakarma people. They were skilled blacksmiths, metalworkers, goldsmiths and stonemasons. These artisans embellished temples in India. It is said some goldsmiths assimilated into the Tamil community and identified as Thattar (opinions differ on this).

Even today, the Tamil-speaking Thattar caste exists and they are master goldsmiths. They were once moneylenders who made good profit. In addition, there were Burghers in Ceylon who came from Jewish lineage. J.B. Muller identifies some of these surnames as Altendorff, Felsinger, Joseph, Koch, Schneider, Martensteyn, Werkmeister and Oppenheimer. For the record, Ceylon had two Jewish Chief Justices, Sir Alan Rose and Sir Sidney Abrahams.

A Jewish memory

I was able to locate two other gravestones in the Borella cemetery in Colombo, when I went there with my friend Gunashantha. They had Hebrew inscriptions chiseled into the hard stone. One is of Joseph Bin Boim who died in 1888. The gravediggers said there should be a few more graves but we could not find them on this day. It is rare that someone would venture into the cemetery looking for Jewish graves. Sustaining a solitary flame of Jewish culture in Colombo is Chabad House. This former colonial bungalow is located opposite Cinnamon Red Hotel. Chabad House caters to a few folk from Israel and visiting Jewish businessmen. There was a Rabbi (Jewish priest) but I haven’t met him after the Covid pandemic. Was Tarshish an enigmatic port or a real trading paradise? The Jews of Ceylon have disappeared into history. Their ancient generations once enriched our island.
