GOSPEL OF GRACE PRODUCE FRUITS OF KNOWLEDGE of JESUS CHRIST  2 PET 1.8

HIS GRACE GRANTS SALVATION!

Look at the following vss.

Mal 1:9  "But now entreat God’s favor, That He may be gracious to us.

Am 5:15  Hate evil, love good; Establish justice in the gate. It may be that the LORD God of hosts Will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.

Isa 30:18  Therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you; And therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait for Him.

Ho 14:2  Take words with you, And return to the LORD. Say to Him, "Take away all iniquity; Receive us graciously, For we will offer the sacrifices of our lips.

All those scriptures explain “grace of the God of whole earth” as an enormous task the LORD had done through His mighty GRACE involving HIS SACRIFICE once for all for all humanity.

Hos 14: 2 shows how ISRAEL are to REQUEST for HIS GRACE when they take words of RO 6: 3-7, 19,22 TO BE DESCIPLES OF HIS and how they SHOULD OFFER THANKSGIVING for GRCIOUSLY TAKING AWAY THEIR INIQUITY—the only way to take iniquity away IS THROUGH BAPTIZM UNTO HIS DEATH as shown in Ro 6: 3-7----it is a process—TAKE WORDS WITH YOU means, one has to get the knowledge of JESUS CHRIST and His sacrifice and REQUEST LORD to grant His Salvation to be His servants who serve Righteousness unto holiness, Ro 6: 19,22, as we cannot see Him without holiness, Heb 12:14.

Since we have to know all what the LORD grants us through His grace, Paul prayed that GRACE be multiplied ---read in this article—why—how—for what—etc.

When the LORD blesses, Hag 2: 18, 19, He would be gracious, and the LORD’s people should know the words, to pray before JESUS CHRIST, Hos 14: 2!

Ro 1:5  By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for His name:

We receive GRACE and APOSTLESHIP –to serve Him, for His name!

LORD’s servants should have increasing knowledge of JESUS CHRIST!

2Pe 1: 2  Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,---

Therefore, according to that blessing, GRACE is multiplied as knowledge of JESUS CHRIST increases.

8  For if these things (in previous vss.) are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If you are not UNFRUITFUL, that means if you are fruitful-- then you would produce fruits of knowledge of JESUS CHRIST. They are listed in vss. 5-7—faith, virtue , knowledge, temperance , patience, godliness , brotherly kindness, charity--

That means one would have grown IN GRACE AND KNOWLEDGE, when you practice such!

Then, 2 Pe 3: 18 would be accomplished—

2Pe 3:18  but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

When we produce fruits of knowledge and grow after we receive His gracious gift of salvation through His death, Ro 6: 3-7, we would become servants of Righteousness unto holiness, vss 19,22!

EXAMINE TO SEE THAT THE LORD’S GRACE INVOLVES HIS SACRIFICE THROUGH HIS DEATH ON THE CROSS!

We should remember that gentiles were first saved through grace, BY LORD’S BLOOD, Eph 2: 13, Isa 14: 30, Rom 9: 30-31, they attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith, Ro 6: 19,22,  Ro 9:30, Ro 3:22, 26, promise to Abraham was through the righteousness of faith, Ro 4:13.(the gentiles were NOT JUDGED by LAW when they were saved , but saved through the blood of JESUS CHRIST, Eph 2:  11-13 , Israel too would be SAVED, Rom 11: 26, although they were judged, Eze. 16: 40-42, as it was they who were given the covenant rights, Ro 9: 4,6, Ez 16: 8. ISRAEL too would be saved through BAPTIZM UNTO LORD’S DEATH, involving His blood and blessings of cross, RO 6: 3-7, that is through the power of LORD’s death (which includes His cross, blood, Resurrection, His spirit given after being raised), those were the light gentiles got from JESUS CHRIST, which would be the light to ISRAEL too, Isa 60: 3. THEN ISRAEL of Ro 9: 4,6 would be SAVED BY GRACE AND MERCY OF JESUS CHRIST, through the power of LORD’s death.

This is why Paul preached JESUS CHRIST and HIM CRUCIFIED, 1 Co 2: 2,

Gospel of cross was to be effective, rather than Paul baptizing people, 1Co 1:17 (as we all have to be BAPTIZED UNTO DEATH OF CHRIST, RO 6: 3-7 TO GET THE BENEFITS OF THE CUP OF BLESSING, even Paul got that baptizm, Php 3: 10, and we gentiles too got the blessing of the blood of the covenant, Eph 2: 13 to be saved to serve JESUS CHRIST in the house of God, taking hold of the covenant, Isa 56; 4-7,

EACH PERSON HAS TO ACCEPT CHRIST’S SAVING POWER THROUGH HIS SACRIFICE TO BE BAPTIZED UNTO HIS NAME!

Now that the ISRAEL is guilty of breaking the covenant, Eze. 16: 59, 44: 7, in captivity, Eze. 12: 15, Ez 39: 21-23, but would be released from captivity through blood of the covenant, Zec 9: 11,

ISRAEL of Ro 9: 4,6 should believe JESUS CHRIST, and HAVE FAITH IN HIM, TO BE SAVED BY HIS BLOOD OF THE COVENANT, Mt 26:28, 1Co 11:25 , Heb 9:18.

AFTER ACCEPTING JESUS CHRIST TO be SAVED THROUGH GRACE, ONE HAS TO BE OBEDIENT TO THE FAITH, Ro 1:5 , Ro 16:26, they SHOULD HONOR THE LAWS OF JESUS CHRIST, 1 CO 9: 21. they are recorded in Ro 13: 8-10.  

BUT IF YOU DISHONOUR THE SPIRIT OF GRACE, and sin, YOU WOULD BE PUNISHED, (Heb 10:29  Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?)

Therefore, we should STRIVE TO WIN OUR RACE, as PAUL TAUGHT US. Read these writings and CONFIRM THE SCRIPTURES THAT EXPLAIN LORD’S WILL.

We are to imitate Paul, 1 Co 4: 16, as he imitates JESUS CHRIST, 1Co 11:1, Paul was lawful, 1 Co 6: 12, we are to do good, 3Jo 1:11-- He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God..

IF WE BELIEVE JESUS CHRIST, WE WOULD NOT BE PUT TO SHAME, ROM 9: 33, Christian liberty, Gal 5: 1, is to have FAITH WORKING through LOVE, Gal 5; 6, LOVE FULFILLS the law, Gal 5: 14, and when we are saved by grace, we are NOT TO USE LIBERTY FOR FLESH, but through LOVE, SERVE ONE ANOTHER, Gal 5: 13, fulfilling the laws of love, Ro 13: 8-10 .

Nobody could be justified by MOSAIC LAW, GAL 5: 2-4,

4  Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

NONE COULD BE JUSTIFIED BY MOSAIC LAW AS NO ONE CAN KEEP IT, therefore JESUS CHRIST SAVES THROUGH HIS GRACE, forgiving all sins done against law—then by believing Him, and through BAPTIZM UNTO HIS DEAHT, RO 6: 3-7, HE WOULD SAVE US THROUGH HIS GRACE, taking all our sins UPON HIM.

PLEASE PROVE FROM SCRIPTURES THAT ONE IS UNDER THE LAW TOWARDS JESUS CHRIST, 1 Co 9: 21, WHEN YOU BELIEVE HIM, (explained in these writings). we are to live a life to remain in holiness, to serve Him in His Righteousness unto holiness, Ro 6: 19,22.

Gal 5: 5  For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.-

Israel has to have this hope---THROUGH HIS SPIRIT which was given through grace, Zec 12:10,

The LORD will redeem Israel just as He saved gentiles, Isa 59:20,

Eze 39:29  Neither will I hide My face any more from them: for I have poured out My spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD. (ISRAEL should know that the LORD was HIDING from them!)

THEREFORE, ISRAEL HAS TO HAVE THE HOPE OF Righteousness BY FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST.

Israel has to believe in JESUS CHRIST as their ONLY saviour, Isa 43:3, Ac 5:31, Ac 13:23--raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:

AS THEIR Redeemer, Isa 59:20, Isa 41:14, Isa 43:14  Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon,

(so ISRAEL should prove that IT IS THEY WHO ARE IN Babylon!)

Babylon would sink like a “stone”, Jer 51: 63,63—‘A STONE” represent persecutors of ISRAEL , Ne 9:11, therefore Babylon represent God’s servants of ISRAEL who were against God who despised God’s commands, --that is why they were allowed to be like Babylonians –LORD sent them to Babylon to correct them!

He is TEACHING ISRAEL about Himself through much parables!

The ISRAEL church of last era was depicted as the Re 17: 5 - MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Isa 47:4  As for our redeemer, the LORD of hosts is His name, the Holy One of Israel.

SO ISRAEL SHOULD BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST, THE MIGHTY ONE OF Israel, Isa 48:17, Isa 49:26--I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

Isa 54:5  For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is His name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall He be called.

JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONE AND ONLY GOD, HE IS THE GOD OF THE WHOLE EARTH. JESUS CHRIST saves ISRAEL through His grace.

GAL 5: 6  For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.---SO FAITH HAS TO WORK WITH LOVE!—it is the way the LORD JESUS CHRIST leads us through the spirit, Gal 5: 25, THAT MEANS LORD’S WORDS, Jn 6: 63, HAVE TO BE PRACTICED WHEN WE LOVE BRETHREN.

THEN, LAW OF FAITH which works BY LOVE has to be OBEDIENTLY FOLLOWED—1CO 9: 21--under the law to Christ,

Ro 1:5  By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for His name:

We have received Grace and apostleship to serve Him!

GRACE, THEN MEANS SO MUCH TO HIS SERVANTS!

THEN WE HAVE TO be obedient to faith WHEN WE BELIEVE HIS NAME.

THE FOLLOWING VSS. TOO CONFIRM--

ROM 3: 26  To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

27  Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

28  Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

THE WORKS OF THE MOSAIC LAW IS NOT COUNTED when you BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST —BUT BY THE LAW OF FAITH A MAN IS JUSTIFIED, VS. 28.

AS GAL 5: 6 SAID, LAW OF FAITH WORKS BY LOVE.

THEREFORE A CHANGE OF LAW IS TO BE NOTED.

Heb 8: 6 -- He is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

Heb 7: 12- a change of law,

Heb 7: 22--JESUS CHRIST surety of the better covenant, according to the POWER OF ENDLESS LIFE

Heb 7: 28-word of the OATH came after law, APPOINTS JESUS CHRIST WHO IS PERFECTED FOREVER.

Heb 8: 13-old covenant would be obsolete.

Therefore the change of the LAW has to be NOTED by His people, and LEADERS OF CHURCH---TO BE OBEDIENT to the NEW LAW!

IT IS THE LAW OF LOVE, GAL 5: 6

2 Tim 2: 1 - Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

3  Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

4  No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life;

5  And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

THEN TO GET THE CROWN, WE ARE TO STRIVE LAWFULLY!

This is the very reason why Paul was lawful, 1Co 6:12

Paul kept the faith and finished the race to win the crown, 2Ti 4:7,

Paul exhorted us to win the race, 1Co 9:24, Heb 12:1.

SO WE SHOULD NOTE TO STRIVE—to endure to be strong in GRACE in JESUS CHRIST,

WE HAVE TO STRIVE LAWFULLY!

KEEP THE LAW OF FAITH which works BY LOVE,  DILIGENTLY!

LOOK AT WHAT GRACE OF GOD TEACHES US--

Tit 2 : 11 -For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

12  Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

13  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

14  Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

HE WILL REDEEM AND PURIFY—

SO while REDEEMING HE WOULD PURIFY—thereafter we should KEEP THE FAITH, we are to HONOUR the process of PURIFYING, through the knowledge He gives!

THEREFORE, WHEN WE ARE GIVEN HIS GRACE, WE ARE TO BE OBEDIENT TO THE LAW OF FAITH, which WORKS THROUGH LOVE.

WE SHOULD ALLOW HIM TO PURIFY US! Mal 3: 3, 18

JESUS CHRIST IS IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING THE NEW COVENANT!

And He had given commandments OF LOVE to us--

1 Jn 4; 21  And this commandment have we from Him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

1 Jn 5: 2  By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep His commandments.

3  For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments: and His commandments are not grievous.

SO those scriptures speak of COMMANDMENTS OF LOVE—

FAITH WORKS WITH LOVE.

Therefore we should learn all the laws of love, TO BE OBEDIENT TO THE LAW OF FAITH which WORKS BY LOVE.

If we do not keep these laws of love, we are dishonoring the LORD!

Then as knowledge increases, our love towards brethren ought to increase, WE GROW IN LOVE AS WE GROW IN GRACE AND KNOWLEDGE!

PAUL SAID OF GOSPEL OF GRACE-

Ac 20:24  "But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

Since Paul preached nothing but JESUS CHRIST and Him crucified, 1 Co 2: 2, we ought to note that the gospel of grace is shown through the BAPTIZM UNTO HIS DEATH ON THE CROSS, RO 6: 3-7, through which we become Righteousness unto holiness to serve Him, vss 19, 22.

And since Paul is the minister to gentiles, Rom 15: 16, ---the gentiles, Re 11: 2-4, would testify what was known to them to ISRAEL of Ro 9: 4,6.

As written in other writings, gentiles are first born, Isa 14: 30, AND all Israel will be saved, Rom 11: 26, AND THAT IS THROUGH HIS MERCY AND GRACE.

Gentiles after being first born of SPIRIT  as they hear Him, Acts 28: 28, 2: 17,18, Joel 2: 28,29, Isa 14: 30, Ps. 22: 26, Rom 9: 29,30, give the light they received from JESUS CHRIST, to Israel,

Lu 2:32  A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel."

Isa 60:3  The Gentiles shall come to your light,

SO THE GENTILES HAVE TO MAKE KNOWN THESE THINGS TO SPIRITUAL ISRAEL MINISTRY—as the seed that serves LORD, Ps. 22; 30-31

Isa 61:6  But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

Ro 1:5  By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for His name:

Hos 9: 17  My God will cast them away, Because they did not obey Him; And they shall be wanderers among the nations. (we had written many times that PCG is wandering in  MANY NATIONS! Nations that are mentioned in Jer 25: 17-28, Ps. 83)

These are the nations to which the LORD’s true gospel has to be preached, Mt 24:14 to give knowledge, Isa 11: 9.

Mr 13:10  And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

When God’s people went to NATIONS---the truth has to be PUBLISHED to them AS GOD CHASTEN THEM , because THEY ARE HIS SONS!

IT IS THEY THAT HAVE TO BE CORRECTED AS NEW Jerusalem!

. In Jer 29:18 they were cursed and the same curse is given in Jer 24:9 : they were delivered to nations of earth for a curse

PURPOSE OF GRACE--

Tit 2: 11-14—

11 - For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

12  Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

13  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

14  Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Grace which brings SALVATION, teaches—GIVES KNOWLEDGE OF JESUS CHRIST’S WAYS!

GRACE was given to teach, --to give knowledge how to purify ourselves for the blessed hope TO BECOME A PECULIAR PEOPLE, ZEALOUS OF GOOD WORKS---unto JESUS CHRIST!

JESUS CHRIST saves from sin, Mt 1: 21, which leads to death, (Jas 1: 15-  Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death).

Sin leads to death--

Therefore, JESUS CHRIST saves sinners from death!

Then we see, IF THE LUST IS CONQUERED, sin could be eradicated!

Therefore, JESUS CHRIST gives knowledge TO GET RID OF LUSTS through HIS COUNSELS, INSTRUCTIONS, REPROOFS, COMMANDMENTS, JUDGMENTS---that is KNOWLEDGE OF JESUS CHRIST!---they are written in words of life, Jn 6: 63, which is spirit, Gal 5: 18

(for example, there is a list OF LUSTS recorded by the spirit, in Gal 5: 19-21, if you conquer those lusts, YOU SHALL BE FREE OF SUCH SINS,

SO ONE HAS TO MORTIFY SUCH SINS, (conquer lusts through cross, Ga 5:24),  Ro 8:13  For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Col 3:5  Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:)

Ro 6:15  What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!

SO GRACE IS NOT A LICENCE TO SIN!

IN THESE WRITINGS YOU WOULD SEE HOW KNOWLEDGE OF JESUS CHRIST HELPS TO GET RID OF SIN--

WHEN WE ARE JUSTIFIED BY JESUS CHRIST, IT IS THROUGH HIS GRACE-and through HIS MERCY that HE SAVED US—

Tit 3: 5  Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us,

7  That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

JESUS CHRIST JUSTIFIED US BY GRACE, GAVE A HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE, after HE SAVED us through His mercy,

(He made the ONE offering for sins, Heb 10: 14,18, but NO MORE OFERINGS, vs. 26, ---thus HE SAVED US and GAVE US A HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE). Then it is as SAYING—“SIN NO MORE”!

Joh 5:14--thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.—WHEN SPIRITUALLY WE ARE MADE WHOLE BY HIS FORGIVING OUR SINS, WE SHOULD SIN NO MORE, otherwise a worse thing happens--Heb 10:26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,--but a punishment, heb 10: 28-29.

Then we ought to work out to get rid of worldly lusts, AND THE HELPER IS THE HOLY SPIRIT—through the scriptures, THE WORDS OF LIFE, JN 6: 63, one has to find how we can get rid of lusts!

Tit 3: 8  This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works.

SO WHEN WE BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST, WE ARE TO BE CAREFUL TO MAINTAIN GOOD WORKS—

AND THE GOOD WORKS ARE WRITTEN IN THE WORD!

(one should hear the word of JESUS CHRIST, by reading the word and from His ministers, present day, the gentiles, Re 11: 3-4, Ez 30: 9, Jer 3: 15, Isa 56: 4-7, Zec 12: 8).

THROUGH THE LESSONS TO THE ELECT (now it is gentiles as they are the first born, Isa 14: 30) SPIRITUAL ISRAEL MINISTRY SHOULD LEARN --

1 Pet 1: 2-7-  Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied-3 - Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, .—meaning, ELECT WERE SANCTIFIED UNTO OBEDIENCE, AND THEY WERE GRANTED GRACE, so that grace and peace be multiplied.

ALL THESE DONE BY THE Resurrection of JESUS CHRIST from the dead!

This is why Ro 6: 3-7 BAPTIZM UNTO LORD’S DEATH IS THE MAIN BLESSING FOR BELEIVERS---all things through GRACE comes from the LORD’s Resurrection from dead!

Grace is shown to captives of ISRAEL through sprinkling of blood of JESUS CHRIST, Zec 9: 11, Eze. 43: 18, Isa 52:15  So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.

NOW THE ISRAEL MINISTRY WOULD GET THE SPRINKLING OF HIS BLOOD ON THEM AS THEY ARE IN captivity in MANY NATIONS, Isa 52: 15, because of  their iniquities,  Jer 30: 3,11, 18, THE LORD RESTORES ISRAEL, Jer 30.

LORD’s grace does many things--

ELECT begotten and RECEIVED A LIVELY HOPE OF INCORRUPTIBLE INHERITANCE--.

1 Pe 1:  4  To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

5  Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

INHERITANCE IS RESERVED IN HEAVEN, AND NOW THEY ARE KEPT through FAITH, salvation is ready to be revealed in the LAST TIME (last time is when He comes to give rewards, Re 22: 12)-

Php 3: 20  For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

THEY ARE KEPT UNTO SALVATION, through FAITH, waiting for JESUS CHRIST.

1 Pet 1: 6 -Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

7  That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

The elect would BE TRIED of their FAITH, tried with FIRE, and if they win the race set before us, Heb 12:1, we would be rewarded, Re 22: 12, just as Paul won the race, 2Ti 4:7, and Paul minister to gentiles, Rom 15: 16, admonishes the gentiles to win the race, 1Co 9:24 (one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it).

SO THEREFORE WHEN GRACE IS POURED WE HAVE TO WORK, IN OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH.

THESE WRITINGS WOULD MAKE IT CLEAR THAT WE OUGHT TO WORK WITH THE KNOWLEDGE WE RECEIVE THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT!

UNDERSTAND THE WILL OF THE LORD

EPH 5: 17  Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. EPH 5: 10  Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

WE SHOULD DO WHAT IS ACCEPTABLE TO THE LORD!

THOSE WHO KNOW JESUS CHRIST SHOULD DEPART FROM INIQUITY TO BECOME GODLY-

2Ti 2:19  Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity."

LEARN FROM JOHN 16; 9-14

JOHN 16: 9- Of sin, because they believe not on Me;

When they believe JESUS CHRIST, Holy Spirit teaches man about sin, and searches hearts, Rom 8: 27, Jer 17: 10, Re 2: 23

NO ONE CAN ESCAPE FROM HIM, THE HEARTS WILL BE CHECKED!

If you believe in JESUS CHRIST, you would depart from sin, 2 Tim 2: 19,

Therefore, the LORD’s spirit of grace leads to unveil hearts to see whether sin dwells in believers!

Believers should not have sin in them, when they believe in JESUS CHRIST!

Jn 16: 10-- Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see Me no more;

The spirit of grace was poured after ascension, as the helper THE HOLY SPIRIT was to be sent later, Joh 20:17, joh 16: 7,

Joh 15:26  "But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.

The helper, the holy Spirit would make known of His Righteousness, and how He requires His ministry to be Righteous, Mal 3: 18, as servants of Righteousness, Rom 6: 19,22,

1Jo 3:7- He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.

1Jo 2:29  If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

Isa 61:3  -- that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He might be glorified.

SO ALL BORN OF HIM SHOULD PRACTICE Righteousness!

AND THE HOLY SPIRIT which came as a helper afterwards, TEACHES HOW TO BE RIGHTEOUS!

Knowledge of JESUS CHRIST is taught,

Hab 2:14  For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea.

Jn 16: 11- Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

The devil’s spirit is making men to be SLAVES OF SIN, Rom 6: 16, Jn 8: 34, 1 Jn 3: 4----While LORD called His people to teach them, Jn 6: 44,45,

LORD PURIFIES THEM, Zec 13: 1, Tit 2: 14, Acts 15: 9, Mal 3: 3, Dan 12: 10.

Through His Judgments THE DEVIL’S WORKS would be DESTROYED,

Heb 2:14-- destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,

John 16: 13, 14-

13  Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: --- he will shew you things to come.14  He shall glorify Me: for he shall receive of Mine, and shall shew it unto you.

HOLY SPIRIT IS WORD OF GOD, JN 6: 63-It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

The LORD sent His servants the gentiles, Re 11:2-4, Rom 9: 30-31, to expound the word of God, which is His short work, Ro 9: 28, during the day of the LORD, Ez 30: 3. So the gentiles bring the word of God when JESUS CHRIST bears the name, THE WORD OF GOD, Re 19: 13.

THIS IS OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST-

RE 19: 16  And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

HOLY SPIRIT GUIDES US IN—

·        Counseling as JESUS CHRIST is the counselor, Isa 9:6 ,

·        Leading to truths of JESUS CHRIST

·        giving wisdom of JESUS CHRIST,

·        teaching how to worship JESUS CHRIST in spirit and truth,

·        Instructing spiritual ways like how we should love one another,

·        giving knowledge and understanding pertaining to everlasting life,

·        prophecies, showing things to come so that we could guard ourselves

·        how to glorify JESUS CHRIST

·        Holy spirit even chastens the sons of God

·        ln fact all things of JESUS CHRIST would be made known through His spirit!

A WARNING FROM EARLY CHURCH--

In the early church, Jude 1: 4 happened—grace was twisted into lies, as if to say that we could keep sinning after receiving grace, and as if no repentance is required if you sin after receiving grace!

Paul warned not to be like the early Israel who were destroyed after they were saved—

1 Co 10: 2  all were baptized into Moses

5  But with most of them God was not well pleased,

6 - Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.

7  And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, "The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play."

8  Nor let us commit sexual immorality,

9  nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents;

11  Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

SO IF YOU LUST AFTER BEING SAVED JUST AS Israel DID, IT IS A WARNING TO SAY WE COULD BE DESTROYED!

Vs. 11 IS ADDRESSED TO US, ON WHOM THE END OF THE AGES HAVE COME!

But JESUS CHRIST requires us to WORK PERFECTLY, Re 3: 2-3, He wants PERFECT WORKS, energized by FAITH IN HIM.

JESUS CHRIST said, STRIVE TO ENTER IN AT THE NARROW GATE, LK 13: 24, MT 7: 13-14, but IF YOU misunderstand gospel of grace, IT COULD MAKE YOU THINK that STRIVING IS UNNECESSARY.

JESUS CHRIST further said, NARROW IS THE GATE, BUT FEW WHO FIND IT, For many will try and NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER!

We should always remember Heb 10: 14, 18, 26, 28-29—

THE OFFERING FOR SINS IS ONCE ONLY—AFTER THAT IF WE SIN WILFULLY, A GREATER PUNISHMENT!

But he who practices TRUTH, will be ENERGIZED to do so WITH HIS SPIRIT, and he would PRODUCE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT, GAL 5; 22.

We should ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT THE MINISTRY HAS TO LEARN THESE THINGS FIRST, it is a people to be in the SANCTUARY that the LORD is preparing, Mal 3: 3, 18, Tit 2: 11-14, 1Pe 2:9,

Isa 61:6  But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

The LORD requires to dwell with His ministry, Ez 48: 35, Ex 19:6  And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation.

Re 1:6  And hath made us kings and priests unto God- Re 5:10  And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.-

Re 21:3- Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.

SO THAT IS THE REASON WHY THE LORD IS PURIFYING THE MINISTRY.

Gal 5: 19-21 speaks of SINS—then we are to avoid such sins.

And by discerning good and evil YOU EXERCISE TO DO GOOD WORKS, HEB 5: 13,14--13  For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

14  But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Heb 6: 4  For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

5  And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6  If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance;

THAT IS A WARNING—

AFTER WE ARE ENLIGHTENED, WE SHOULD BE CAREFUL NOT TO FALL AWAY—IT IS DIFFICULT TO BRING THEM UNTO REPENTANCE!

But please note that what is impossible with men IS POSSIBLE WITH JESUS CHRIST---IF YOU RELY ON HIM, HE COULD BRING HIM TO REPENTANCE, Mt 19:26, Mr 10:27, Lu 18:27--The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

When the LORD prompts you to repent, ASK YOURSELF where you had disobeyed His word? Were you PROUD TO OBEY HIM? –IF SO,

YOU SHOULD PRODUCE GODLY SORROW, RESOLVING TO DO BETTER according to the word of God, and resolving to WALK IN THE SPIRIT, GAL 5: 24, 25.

HIS SPIRIT OF GRACE IS REQUIRED TO PRODUCE FRUITS OF REPENTANCE

FOR EXAMPLE,

JESUS CHRIST said whosoever is angry with his brother is subject to Judgment,  Mt 5:22,

Then the SPIRIT OF THE LORD PROMPTS YOU TO REPENT OF SUCH ANGER by verses of commandments such as stated below---

• 1Jo 3:10  In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

• 1Jo 3:14  We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.

• 1Jo 3:17  But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

• 1Jo 4:20  If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

• 1Jo 4:21  And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.

WHEN THE LORD SAYS SO, IF YOU BECOME OBEDIENT TO THE SPIRIT (words are spirit, Jn 6: 63), YOU WOULD OVERCOME AND PRODUCE FRUITS OF REPENTANCE BY CHANGING YOUR THOUGHTS TOWARDS BROTHER!

1 Pet 1:2--elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience—

THEREFORE, THE ELECT WERE GIVEN THE SPIRIT FOR OBEDIENCE.

Through their obedience grace would multiply—

1Pe 1:2  elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

When you learn to love being obedient to the SPIRIT, you would be sharing, caring for brethren, you would love to be of a serving attitude.

1Ti 6:18  -Isa 58:7-Heb 13:16  But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

CONTINUE with former love—Heb 10: 32, 34.

BY SUCH ACTIONS THE LORD WILL BE WELL PLEASED.

BUT, if you hate brother, it is like murder!—1 Jn 3:15

and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

If you look at a woman in lust, you had committed adultery, Mt 5: 28.

So eternal life would not be given to those who HATE BRETHREN!

All those sins could be taken out of you, IF YOU ONLY LEARN TO OBEY THE WORD OF GOD OF JESUS CHRIST!

This is why the LORD gave Holy spirit as a helper, Joh 14:26  "-the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things,

AND HOLY SPIRIT IS GIVEN IN HIS GRACE –

• Zec 12:10  "And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced.
• Ga 6:18  Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
• 2Ti 4:22  The Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
• Phm 1:25  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
• 1 Pe 1:2 ----in sanctification of the Spirit------Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

(in Zec 12: 8, the gentiles are serving the LORD, and in Zec 12. 10  above on ALL WHO PIERCED HIM.

Please remember that purpose of GRACE is to make a people ready for JESUS CHRIST, Titus 2: 11-14.

Heb 6: 10  For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

11  And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

The MINISTRY SERVE THE SAINTS, BUT WE SHOULD DO THAT WITH SAME DILIGENCE UNTO THE END!

Do not grumble in your hearts, but serve lovingly, as you would do unto JESUS CHRIST,

• Col 3:23  And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

• Col 3:17  And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus,

• 2Co 13:5  Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? ––unless indeed you are disqualified.

• Php 2:12- Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed,--- work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

There are sins some of us have to get rid of—all would not have the same sins, but we should identify them as sometimes we do not even think about them--

Some are addiction to alcohol, cigarettes, shopping, marketing, too involved in eating, play, recreation —and so on –LOOK AT THE FOLLOWING VS.-

1Co 10:7  Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

8  Neither let us commit fornication,-- 9  Neither let us tempt Christ-- 10  Neither murmur ye-- 11  Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Those things happened for Israel in history as that chapter reveals, and THEY ARE WRITTEN FOR OUR ADMONITION!

EATING –DRINKING –PLAYING-- COULD BECOME IDOLS!

THEREFORE WE SHOULD HAVE A BALANCE APPROACH TO ANYTHING.

FORNICATION, ADULTERY COULD HAPPEN—

WE MAY TEMPT CHRIST, (vs. 9) TO PUNISH US!

Ho 4:14  "I will not punish your daughters when they commit harlotry, Nor your brides when they commit adultery; For the men themselves go apart with harlots, And offer sacrifices with a ritual harlot. Therefore people who do not understand will be trampled.

These things could happen spiritually or physically!

GREED OF MONEY adds to your sins

When anyone has such a greed, you may covet, you may not like to share, you may  not wish to share brethrens’ burdens, SIMPLY MAY  NOT WISH TO PART WITH YOUR MONEY-

Then you would not be obedient to the word of JESUS CHRIST-

From the vss. below we could see the admonitions given to the rich-

• 1Ti 6:17  Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
• Ps 10:3  For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth.
• Pr 30:9  Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD?
• 1Ti 6:10  For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.(a biblical example is the case of Annanais, and Sapphira, Ac 5:1-11)
• Eze 16:49  Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
• Ho 13:6  According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.
• Jas 1:10  But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
• Ps 52:7  Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches,
• Pr 11:28 ¶  He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
• Jer 9:23- , let not the rich man glory in his riches:
• Lu 12:15  And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
• Lu 12:21  So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
• Eph 5:5  For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
• Pr 27:24  For riches are not for ever:
• Heb 13:16  But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
• Lu 6:35  But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great,
• 2Th 3:13  But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
• Ro 12:13  Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality
• Mic 6:8  He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

So we see that when you covet for money, you serve MONEY and NOT GOD, Mt 6:24, Lu 16:13

(MAMMON--A Chaldee or Syriac word meaning "wealth" or "riches"-Easton )

When you sin against God, lust of money would control you, and NOT THE SPIRIT OF GOD!

Therefore grace is given for us to learn of the knowledge of JESUS CHRIST, to make ourselves HOLY by removing lusts of the flesh, so that JESUS CHRIST would be pleased to live in us,

Ga 2:20  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

We too could say Ga 2: 20, if we have crucified flesh –Gal 5: 24

Therefore affections, addictions and bondages to worldly lusts HAVE TO BE CRUCIFIED WITH THE HELP OF THE SPIRIT—

Gal 5: 24- they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

BUT WE OUGHT TO KNOW THAT WE HAVE TO SUFFER WHEN WE LIVE A GODLY LIFE--2Ti 3:12  Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

AT THE SAME TIME-- 1Pe 2:19  For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

GRACE is not a license to SIN, but GRACE is given to LEARN OF CHRIST to GET RID OF SIN,

• Read—“ MYSTERY OF GODLINESS- WHOEVER SINS HAS NOT SEEN HIM NOR KNOWN HIM-1 Jn 3.6”

Ro 6:15  What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!

Ro 7:7  What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."

So when the law says –love your brother—we know that we have to love brethren—THE LAW of JESUS CHRIST TEACHES YOU THE WAY OF LIFE! CHRIST’S LAW, for which we are to be OBEDIENT, 1 CO 9: 21, AND THAT LAW LEADS YOU TO WALK IN THE NEWNESS OF LIFE, Ro 6:4-- even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Heb 13: 9  Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace;

OUR HEARTS ARE TO BE ESTABLISHED WITH GRACE OF JESUS CHRIST WHICH HE POURS AT THE TIME OF OUR BAPTIZM UNTO HIS DEATH, RO 6: 3-7, TO GAIN HIS Righteousness, VS. 19,22.

1 Pet 1: 2  Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,

GRACE TO BE MULTIPLIED WHEN YOU GROW IN KNOWLEDGE BECOMING A DOER OF THE WORD--Jas 1:25 (you will be blessed when you become a doer)

Knowledge of JESUS CHRIST is essential to BE SAVED FROM SIN, Mat 1: 21, And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for He shall save His people from their sins.

Sin leads to death, then HE WOULD SAVE HIS PEOPLE FROM DEATH

Ps 116:8  For You have delivered my soul from death, My eyes from tears,

Those who are leading to death are in TEARS as they have no love among themselves, they live in ungodliness, which brings them unhappiness—SO WHEN THE LORD DELIVERS BELIEVERS FROM DEATH, THEY DO NOT HAVE TO SHED TEARS!

2Co 8:7 - Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.

Mat 1: 23----call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

GOD HIMSELF CAME TO BE WITH US AS THE MAN, JESUS CHRIST, Heb 7: 3!

And HE GAVE HIS KNOWLEDGE WHEN HE POURED HIS SPIRIT ON THE GENTILES, Acts 2: 17,18,  SO THAT THEY HEAR, Acts 28: 28, AND BECOME A LIGHT TO SPIRITUAL ISRAEL, Isa 60: 3 WHOM HE CALLED, Jn 6: 44, 45, TO TEACH KNOWLEDGE OF HIM, so that grace and peace be multiplied as the above vss. said.

THE LORD’S INTENTION IS THAT HIS PEOPLE WOULD ESCAPE THE CORRUPTION that is in the world through lust, THROUGH exceedingly great and precious promises, THAT WERE GIVEN TO US BY HIM, 2Pe 1:4.

LOOKING TO THE PROMISES OF JESUS CHRIST , WE SHOULD  STRIVE TO ESCAPE CORRUPTION!

The LORD REQUIRES HIS PEOPLE TO BE FREED FROM SIN, corruption! 

HE REQUIRES US TO ATTAIN DIVINE NATURE, HIS NATURE,--- and therefore He gave PRECIOUS PROMISES.

HIS DIVINE POWER HAD GIVEN ALL THESE THINGS—

2 Pe 1: 3  as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,-- SO THESE THINGS ARE CONCERNING EVERLASTING LIFE AND GODLINESS!

So we should note—

Grace is to be multiplied in acquiring the KNOWLEDGE OF JESUS CHRIST, vs. 2.

So that is the REASON WHY THE LORD GAVE KNOWLEDGE!

HIS GRACE AND PEACE HAS TO MULTIPLY IN US!

DIVINE POWER OF JESUS CHRIST GAVE ALL THINGS THAT PERTAIN TO EVERLASTING LIFE AND GODLINESS—through giving KNOWLEDGE OF HIM.

We should NOTE HIS HOLINESS, GLORY, VIRTUE, IMAGE, GODLINESS, DIVINE NATURE, PURITY, SINLESS NATURE,RIGHTEOUSNESS, HIS JUDGMENTS, COUNSELS, PERFECTNESS, SPIRITUALITY, INCORRUPTIBILITY, FAITH, LOVE, JOY, PEACE, LONGSUFFERING, PATIENCE, GENTLENESS, GOODNESS, MEEKNESS, TEMPERANCE, KINDNESS, --THE FRUITS OF AGAPE LOVE WHICH WOULD PRODUCE PEACE!

WHEN WE ACQUIRE ALL THESE THINGS, WE WOULD HAVE PEACE AND GRACE multiplied!

Then we should learn how we could ERADICATE SIN FROM OUR LIVES, SO THAT HIS LOVE AND PEACE WOULD BE IN US TO HAVE JOY –AND THEN ALL COULD DWELL PEACEFULLY!

We could do so ONLY BY BEING OBEDIENT TO HIS WORDS OF INSTRUCTION, HIS COMMANDMENTS.

Then no tears!

Re 7:17  "for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."—fountain to cleanse was given --Zec 13: 1 , through gentile rivers, Isa 42:15, Isa 43:2, 19, 20,

Re 21:4  "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."

2 Pet 1; 5 -But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,

6  to knowledge self–control, to self–control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,

7  to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

8  For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

THEREFORE WHEN KNOWLEDGE OF JESUS CHRIST IS GIVEN, YOU ARE TO PRODUCE FRUITS FROM THAT KNOWLEDGE!

When you produce SUCH FRUITS---

You would have ---FAITH –VIRTUE—KNOWLEDGE—SELF CONTROL—PERSEVERANCE—GODLINESS—BROTHERLY KINDNESS—LOVE!

SO WE SEE WHEN KNOWLEDGE INCREASES, GRACE AND PEACE WOULD MULTIPLY AS FRUITS OF KNOWLEGDE WOULD BE PRODUCED!

These are also similar to the fruits of the spirit—Gal 5; 22-23

2 Pet 1: 9  But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

So when KNOWLEDGE is given—and IF YOU HAVE NOT PRODUCED these FRUITS OF KNOWLEGDE, YOU ARE BLIND, short sighted---AND HAD FORGOTTEN THAT WE ARE PURGED FROM OLD SINS! ---

THEN, WHEN WE ARE FORGIVEN, WE SHOULD SEE WELL, TO PRODUCE FRUITS so that WE WOULD NOT BE BLIND!

READ--

• “discerning spiritual fruits from lusts of the flesh”
• “LORD prunes fruit bearing trees”

Therefore just as Paul exhorted the gentile ministry under him, Rom 15: 16, we gentiles EXHORT spiritual Israel TOO TO EXERCISE THE KNOWLEDGE OF JESUS CHRIST and BECOME A DOER OF THE WORD ,Jas 1:23 --

2 Pet 1: 10  Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

THE GENTILES HAVE TO MAKE THEIR ELECTION SURE, AFTER THEY WERE MADE THE “ELECT”—they are to do those things THAT THEY ARE TAUGHT IN THE WORD! –the word is given, in the volume of the book, about JESUS CHRIST, Heb 10:7—WE HAVE NO EXCUSE—BUT STUDY THE WORD TO DO THEM, when we read, the LORD will make them understand, or He would send understanding through His servants.

Gentiles too have to be doers of the word! They have to make their election SURE, 2Pe 1:10 —if they DO THOSE THINGS, THEY SHALL NEVER FALL. Then they would SECURE THEIR PLACE IN THE EVERLASTING KINGDOM--11  For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

WHEN ELECT MAKE THEIR ELECTION SURE, THEIR ENTRANCE INTO THE EVERLASTING KINGDOM IS SURE.

THEREFORE GRACE OF JESUS CHRIST IS TO BE GROWN WHEN WE STRIVE TO BE GODLY.

2 PET 1: 12 - Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.

13  Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;

PAUL TAUGHT, REMINDED, PUT BELIEVERS IN REMEMBRANCE OF THE THINGS OF THE LORD—TO BE ESTABLISHED IN THE PRESENT TRUTH, --------SO SHOULD WE THE GENTILES WHOM THE LORD HAD MADE HIS SERVANTS, put believers in remembrance of the THINGS OF FAITH AMONG HIS PEOPLE---2 PET 1: 5-9 (above), -Isa 14; 30, Re 11: 2-4, Rom 15: 16, Rom 9: 29,30.

WHEN KNOWLEDGE IS POURED, WE ARE TO BE ESTABLISHED!

ISRAEL SHOULD NOTE WHY THE LORD IS SENDING KNOWLEDGE OF HIM! They are to be established and even the gentiles who are forgiven and who were born again, Isa 14: 30, are TO WORK OUT THEIR ELECTION, to be sure that THEY are ESTABLISHED in the present truth. We all should know that we are to grow in the knowledge after we received HIS GRACE TO FORGIVE OUR SINS, AND HIS GRACE TO OVERCOME OUR LUSTS.

PAUL WORKED HARD TO OBTAIN THE INCORRUPTIBLE CROWN.

1 Co 9: 25  And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

26  I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

27  But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

SO SHOULD THE GENTILES UNDER HIM, ROM 15: 16.

PRIESTS HAVE A DANGER—they can preach to others, AND FAIL THEMSLEVES!

SO THE PRIESTHOOD SHOULD GUARD THEIR CONDUCT AND BRING INTO SUBJECTION TO THE LAWS OF JESUS CHRIST, 1 CO 9: 21.

IN THE VSS. BELOW WE SEE HOW ESSENTIAL IT IS TO GROW IN LOVE TOWARDS BRETHREN AND the vss show that IT IS AGAINST THE BRETHREN THAT WE COULD SIN—

(we should also note that we are to be studying the word of God to do them—if we do not know the word, we may do against them).

Mt 25:40  "And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

Pr 14:31 -  He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker:

Pr 19:17 - He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD;

Mr 9:41 - For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

1 Jn 4: 20  If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

21  And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.

(how easily we could think that WE LOVE GOD, while NOT LOVING our brethren?---UNLESS YOU THINK OF THIS VS., DEEPLY, one cannot correct himself, and you ought to ASK JESUS CHRIST FOR HELP!)

IF YOU DO NOT LOVE YOUR BRETHREN IN DEED, YOU DO IT AGAINST JESUS CHRIST! AND IF YOU DO NOT LOVE HIM, WE ARE CURSED! 1Co 16:22  If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

WHEN THE LORD POURED HIS KNOWLEDGE through HIS GRACE TO OVERCOME OUR SINS to become HOLY, we are to be OBEDIENT TO THE FAITH, to His commandments, to MAKE OUR ELECTION SURE!

Look at MORE commandments of LOVE--

Ga 5:13 -  For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

1Th 4:9 - But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

1Pe 1:22- see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

1Jo 3:14 - We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

1Jo 3:15  Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

1Jo 3:16  Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

1Jo 3:18  My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

1Jo 4:7 -  Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

1Jo 4:8  He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

IF WE DO NOT LOVE BRETHREN, WE DO NOT KNOW GOD!

If we do not love brethren, whatever knowledge of God we have BECOMES USELESS—

SO WE SEE THAT WE COULD EASILY BE SINNING AGAINST BRETHREN AND JESUS CHRIST IF WE FORGET TO DO GOOD TO BRETHREN,

It may be with your money when your brother is in need, things, help in various occasions like in sickness, sharing what you get, caring for brethren when they are in some trouble, finding out how they are, visiting ---and the list how ONE COULD LOVE BRETHREN goes on---

If we neglect to do good to our brethren, WE MAY SIN, and then the LORD says WE ARE SINNING AGAINST HIM!

Now, if we say “we do not mind our sins, because we are saved by grace and THAT GRACE WOULD PARDON OUR SINS’ ---we are ERRING!

SACRIFCE ONLY ONCE--

Heb 10: 26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

 THE MAIN THING IS WE CANNOT NOT BE SINNING AFTER THE LORD PARDONED US THROUGH GRACE, MAKING HIMSELF AS ONE OFFERING—

HEB 10:

14--For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

18-   Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

26-- For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

27  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.—29-  Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

SO ANYONE WHO RECEIVES PARDON FOR SIN through HIS GRACE , LORD’S SACRIFICE----IT IS FOR ONCE ONLY—after that if he SINS THINKING he would be forgiven through grace—is SINNING WILFULLY!

THEN YOU would get vs. 27-29—it is a punishment worse than for Mosaic law keepers!

IF WE SIN WILFULLY---WE HAD COUNTED HIS PRECIOUS BLOOD OF THE COVENANT AS UNHOLY—HAD DISGRACED THE SPIRIT OF GRACE!

STRIVE TO KEEP THE FAITH

When we stand by faith—we are to watch—

1Co 16:13  Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.

2Co 1:24  Not that we have dominion over your faith, but are fellow workers for your joy; for by faith you stand.(because of love for brethren we ought to remind of the faith we have TO FELLOW WORKERS)

Php 1:27  Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, ------- that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel,

WE ARE TO STRIVE TOGETHER WITH ONE MIND FOR THE FAITH OF THE GOSPEL—

NONE SHOULD BE OVERLY CONFIDENT ON HIMSELF---1Co 10:12  Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall

At one time you have to grow with milk-- 1Pe 2:2  as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, (but afterwards they should eat meat, WHEN THEY KNOW TO DISCERN SPIRITUAL THINGS, 1 CO 2; 13,

HEB 5: 13  For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

14  But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

SO WE SHOULD DISCERN GOOD AND EVIL—THAT COULD BE DONE ONLY BY THE SPIRITUALLY MATURE PEOPLE—if you cannot discern good and evil---YOU ARE A BABE!

And who are babes?

When God’s  people are carnal they are divided- 1Co 3:3, 4

carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God,-- Ro 8:7—

1Co 3:1  And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.

1Co 3:3  for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?

SO ALL THOSE WHO ARE DIVIDED AMONG GOD’S PEOPLE ARE BABES IN CHRIST---they cannot be taught meaty spiritual knoweldge of God!

To have the same mind that was in Paul, Php 3: 10, we are to be BAPTISED UNTO DEATH OF JESUS CHRIST, RO 6: 3-7, just as Paul did, Php 3; 10.

Therefore BELIEVERS SHOULD STRIVE TO EAT MEAT—they should not be divided, but hold on to their head, JESUS CHRIST!!

THE OLD WAYS OUGHT TO PASS AWAY from NEW MEN—WE ARE TO BE LED BY THE SPIRIT, GAL 5: 25, TO BE FREED FROM LAW, vs. 18, UNTIL THEN, WE ARE UNDER LAW TO CHRIST—1CO 9: 21.

THE MAIN THING IS, WE COULD NOT BE SINNING AFTER THE LORD PARDONED US THROUGH GRACE, MAKING HIMSELF AS ONE OFFERING—Heb 10: 14,18,26,

Eph 4: 24  And that ye put on the new man, which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.(this happens in Ro 6: 3-7, 19,22)

Col 3:10  and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,(this happens when one raises from dead, as he is helped by the Holy Spirit,---there again it is after Ro 6: 3-7)

WE ARE TO PUT OFF THE OLD MAN AND BE RENEWED IN SPIRIT TO PUT ON THE NEW MAN.

Until we learn to remain holy, WE ARE UNDER THE LAW TOWARDS JESUS CHRIST-1 CO 9: 21.

Jas 1: 25 SHOWS HOW WE SHOULD LEARN THE WORD OF GOD TO DO THOSE COMMANDMENTS RECORDED IN THE WORD OF GOD JUST AS PAUL WAS LAWFUL, 1Co 6:12  All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. (PAUL WAS LAWFUL ALTHOUGH THE LAW DID NOT SAVE HIM, HE WAS LAWFUL and therefore HE WAS IN LIBERTY).

TO BE LAWFUL, to be doers, WE OUGHT TO KNOW THE LAW THOROUGHLY, THE WORD HAS TO BE IN OUR HEARTS, THAT IS WHY THE LORD SAYS THAT HE WOULD WRITE THEM IN THEIR HEARTS TO MAKE THE NEW COVENANT, Jer 31:33  But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put My law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Heb 8:10  For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put My laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

Heb 10:16  This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

WHEN YOU ARE OBEDIENT TO HIS COMMANDS, YOU WOULD BE A HOLY PERSON, AMONG WHOM THE LORD IS WELL PLEASED TO DWELL!

Mt 12: 24- Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

IF WE HAD ERRED, CORRECT QUICKLY IF YOU KNOW THE POWER OF JESUS CHRIST!

Righteous only would GO INTO ETERNAL LIFE—MT 25:46

Therefore, the LORD requires us to walk watchfully, but not as fools, and we should know the scriptures to do them- (it is foolish to think that God would keep forgiving through HIS GRACE, Heb 10: 14, 17, 18{the vss say once forgiven there would be no more offering} each man is responsible how he builds on the foundation of JESUS CHRIST ---1 Cor 3: 10-- let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

2 CO 7: 1---Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

VS. 7, 9, 10, 12 encourages us to produce Godly sorrow, when we are shown our problems THAT HINDER NEWNESS OF LIFE!

We were given the holy spirit, 2 Co 5: 5, to have the IMAGE OF JESUS CHRIST in our mortal bodies, 2 Co 4: 16, 6-11, and we are to walk by FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT, VS. 7.

Ambassadors of JESUS CHRIST are new creations, 2 Co 5: 17-20, we should not receive grace IN VAIN, 2 Co 6: 1, then we are to glory in our tribulations when we have peace with JESUS CHRIST, Rom 5: 1-4.

Sons of light should WATCH, 1 Thes 5: 5,6, we are to put on breast plate of FAITH and LOVE, and HELMET of SALVATION, through JESUS CHRIST, vss 8,9. WE SHOULD LIVE TOGETHER WITH HIM, vs. 10, WE ARE TO ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER, vs. 11-19, TESTING ALL THINGS, WITHOUT QUENCHING THE SPIRIT, performing what we are to do, vss 19-21.

22  Abstain from all appearance of evil.

23 - And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

24  Faithful is He that calleth you, who also will do it.

25  Brethren, pray for us.

SO ALL THINGS SHOULD BE OVERCOME WITH PRAYERS.

We are to imitate JESUS CHRIST and Paul, 1 Co 11: 1

1 Co 10: 24--Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well–being.

THESE ARE LAWS OF JESUS CHRIST, when we are under LAW TOWARDS CHRIST, 1 CO 9: 21,

If we have the mind of Christ, we would judge all things spiritually, AND NO ONE WOULD JUDGE US, 1 CO 2; 13-16, SPIRIT OF GOD KNOWS THE THINGS OF GOD, 1 CO 2; 11, therefore the words of God which is SPIRIT, JN 6: 63, HAVE TO BE STUDIED WELL, TAKEN TO HEART TO DO THEM, to be UNDER THE LAW OF JESUS CHRIST, 1 CO 9: 21.

Ps 84:11  For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Ps 84:12  O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

Ps 118:8  It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

Jer 17:7  Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

--8  For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters,

LORD’s gracious gift involves THE SACRIFICE OF THE BLOOD OF THE GOD OF WHOLE EARTH—gospel of grace INCLUDES all His blessings to believers!

WE SHOULD RECEIVE THIS GIFT WITH THE FRUIT OF OUR LIPS, THANKSGIVING! Hos 14: 2!

ALL PRAISE BE TO OUR SAVIOUR AND Redeemer, JESUS CHRIST, Amen.
