Jacob the aged, who lived 147 years Ge 47:28, lived 17 years in Egypt for he was 130 years when he came to Egypt, Ge 47:8,9 Jacob the aged was wise to understand that “Ephraim” meant Joseph was fruitful in the land of affliction, Ge 41: 52 and therefore he blessed Ephraim before Manasseh, Ge 48:17-20 guiding his hands knowingly. Ge 48:14-16 · This verse has a LOT OF MEANING--- · Read below—PCG as Ephraim, is afflicted not being able to produce the next generation, PCG is called as a woman in labor, Isa 26:17, 18 · But PCG would be MADE as WIFE, NEW JERUSALEM, Rev. 21; 1-5, along with COVENANT RITES; they would be established in EVERLASTING COVENANT, as 1st fruits, Eze. 16; 60-63. · So what a wonderful counsel of LORD that made Jacob to bless Ephraim before Manasseh, Gen. 48; 19-20. · AGED people who has GOD TO LEAD them are WISE!! So the wisdom given to Jacob made us prove Joseph having the posterity, Ge 45:7, to receive blessings after Jacob. Promise comes through RIGHTEOUSNESS of FAITH ---NOT by LAW—Rom. 4; 14-For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect: Because, HIS WRATH comes on COVENANT people, WHEN GOD’S LAW is broken by them, --Rom.4; 15-Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.—that is they WOULD BE JUDGED to prove FAITH in HIM ---they are to keep EVERY WORD, Jam. 1; 23, Lu. 4; 4, Deut. 8; 3 -through FAITH IN HIS OFFERING, understanding HIS GRACE which is His offering for everyone, Heb.2; 9 · HIS DEATH—AS GRACE gives many blessings ---example PEACE by HIS CROSS, enter Holiest by HIS FLESH AND BLOOD, Heb. 10; 19, 20, our heavenly food as JESUS CHRIST , Jn.6; 54-63—receive heavenly clothes from, 2 Co 5; 1-5 (that is receive SPIRIT from LORD, 1 Co 3; 16) So FAITH in HIS GRACE (In His death) is necessary, for all blessings NEEDED in EVERLASTING COVENANT which are given through HIS OFFERING—through HOLY SPIRIT given by baptizm, Jn. 1; 33, Acts. 2; 38, 39 Rom. 4;16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, · Those who kept LAW in OLD COVENANT which passeth away, Heb. 8; 13, WOULD BE FORGIVEN when they BELIEVE IN BAPTIXM UNTO HIS DEATH, Rom. 6; 3-7. · All other seed are to receive CIRCUMCISED HEARTS, Eze. 44; 9, through BURYING in BAPTIZM, Col 2; 11-13 PART 2— Joseph was the posterity to save tribes, Gen. 45; 7, as he saved LIVES OF TRIBES of ISRAEL when they had famine in Canaan, Jacob understood that LORD preserved Joseph and blessed him to be prosperous through BLESSINGS given to him by GOD, and therefore through experiences Jacob KNEW THE LORD’S COUNSEL to BLESS Ephraim · Joseph, the 1st born of Rachael, -- did not commit adultery when adulterous woman, the wife of Potiphar tried her best to lie with Joseph, Gen. 39---if Joseph had committed that sin, he too would have been LIKE Reuben, who lost his 1st born status which was given to Ephraim, 1 Ch 5; 1 · Reuben committed adultery with CONCUBINE of Jacob, Bilhah, Gen. 49; 3, 4 Joseph understood that Committing adultery is SINNING AGAINST GOD, Gen. 39: 9 Joseph did not sin in such a matter even though he had to be in prison Ge 39:1 -And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar 7 -And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. 8 But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; 9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back anything from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? 10 -And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her. 11--there was none of the men of the house there within. 12 -And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out. 13- And it came to pass, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand, and was fled forth, 14 -That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice: God was testing Joseph, Ps 105: 16-21, for he is a posterity after Jacob, Gen. 45; 7, God knows that Ephraim would come out from Joseph! Ps 77:15 --Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah. GOD PRESERVES men in COVENANT— 2Ki 13:23 And the LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet. · Joseph feared GOD, Gen. 42: 18 WE SEE Joseph’s works are LESSONS for ministry today, while Joseph did perform his works glorifying GOD, SO THAT his son Ephraim RECEIVE BLESINGS, Gen. 48; 20 due to Joseph, Gen. 49; 22-26 · Joseph was a POSTERITY, Gen. 45; 7 Gen. 45; 7-- God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. Gen. 45: 10-15—Joseph invites family to Egypt Gen. 45; 16-21—Pharaoh invites them to Egypt Gen. 45; 25-28—Jacob excited to go to Egypt In Gen. 46: 1-4—LORD speaks to ISRAEL in NIGHT VISIONS, and strengthens Jacob to go TO Egypt Gen. 46; 1—And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac. 2 -And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I. 3 -And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation: 4 -I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes. · The meaning of Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes , Gen. 46: 4–is that Joseph would BURY Jacob –when Jacob dies, · And it fulfilled as written in Gen. 50 Jacob died, Gen. 49: 33—(next vs.)—Gen. 50: 1—onwards we see Joseph made plans for burial of Jacob! Gen. 50; 1-- And Joseph fell upon his father’s face, and wept upon him, and kissed him. 2 And Joseph commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father: and the physicians embalmed Israel. 3 And forty days were fulfilled for him; for so are fulfilled the days of those which are embalmed: and the Egyptians mourned for him threescore and ten days.—Egyptians mourned 70 days for Jacob! 4 And when the days of his mourning were past, Joseph spake unto the house of Pharaoh, saying, If now I have found grace in your eyes, speak, I pray you, in the ears of Pharaoh, saying, 5 My father made me swear, saying, Lo, I die: in my grave which I have digged for me in the land of Canaan, there shalt thou bury me. Now therefore let me go up, I pray thee, and bury my father, and I will come again. 6 And Pharaoh said, Go up, and bury thy father, according as he made thee swear. 7 -And Joseph went up to bury his father: and with him went up all the servants of Pharaoh, the elders of his house, and all the elders of the land of Egypt, 8 And all the house of Joseph, and his brethren, and his father’s house: only their little ones, and their flocks, and their herds, they left in the land of Goshen. 9 And there went up with him both chariots and horsemen: and it was a very great company. 11-- And when the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, saw the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said, This is a deep mourning to the Egyptians: wherefore the name of it was called Abelmizraim, which is beyond Jordan. 12 And his sons did unto him according as he commanded them: · God blessed Joseph in Egypt (AFTER God had tested Joseph in prison, Ps 105: 16-21) · To bless faithful Joseph, Gen. 49; 22-26, JESUS CHRIST came as SHILOH, Gen. 49; 8-12 to bless ISRAEL through son of Joseph, Ephraim, Gen. 48; 20, in present times, PCG represent Ephraim, through EVERLASTING COVENANT promised to ISRAEL, Eze. 16; 60-63, through BLOOD OF COVENANT, Heb. 13; 20, TO BRING BACK CAPTIVES in pits, Zec. 9; 11 Ge 49:10 -The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. The sceptre as in David is in Judah, Gen. 49; 10, so LORD came as BRANCH of David, Jer. 33; 15, · Ge 37:3 -Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age:-- · We should realize that it is GOD WHO MADE Jacob love Joseph more, because GOD HAD COUNSELED Ephraim as 1st born, Jer. 31; 9, Gen. 48; 20, before FOUNDATION OF WORLD, just as HE COUNSELED LAMB before foundation of world, 1 Pe 1; 19-20, as GOD HAD COUNSELED Ephraim as PCG to inherit EVERLASTING COVENANT, Eze. 16 60-63! · Therefore GOD redeems PCG as Ephraim to be in COVENANT, Eze. 16; 60 · LORD made Joseph PROSPER in his work as he FEARED GOD and did not COMMIT adultery when he was tested, Ps 105! · We should remember facts Gen. 37: 1, 2—Jacob was a stranger in Canaan, (where Isaac was), Gen. 37: 28—Joseph was 17 years when he was sold to Egypt. Gen. 41; 38-44—Joseph was set over all land of Egypt to manage the famine Gen. 41: 51—Manasseh means---“God had made Joseph forget all his toil and father’s house. 41; 52—Ephraim means –God caused to be ‘FRUITFUL in LAND of AFFLICTION’ SPIRIT of GOD made Joseph to rule well, Gen. 41; 38, Joseph feared GOD, Gen. 42; 18 · Ephraim is FIRST BORN--- Jer 31:9-They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn. Read in No. 1062—Ephraim is FIRST BORN (Jer. 31;9, compared to PCG (Eze. 16; 60) Ephraim is compared to PCG as both broke COVENANT, Ps. 78: 9-10, Eze.44; 7, 16: 59, blessings of Covenant is for Ephraim, through Joseph, Gen. 49: 22-26, Gen. 48: 20, All chosen, Jo 6: 44, 45, gets that right in COVENANT, Eze.16: 60-63, Joseph was NOT A CHILD when HE became Ruler in land of Egypt Ge 41:46-And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt. Joseph was a blessing to sons of ISRAEL to be nourished from Egypt, so would ISRAEL receive BLESSINGS due to Joseph, Gen. 49; 22-26, and Ephraim receive blessings, Gen. 48; 20---when LORD sent PCG back to Egypt, Deut. 28; 68, Rev. 11; 8, PCG should know these facts. We see that ALL COUNSELES of LORD Are MEANINGFUL Gen. 41; 50 -And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him. 51 -And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father’s house. · Joseph suffered, BUT FORGOT his sufferings when FIRST SON was BORN TO Joseph 52 -And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.---when Ephraim was BORN, Joseph was FRUITFUL in Egypt!! · LORD caused Joseph to PROSPER through Ephraim, Gen. 41; 52— · Therefore Ephraim would receive BLESSING of Joseph, Gen. 48; 20--- · PCG as Ephraim would receive BLESSING of SHILOH, inheritance in EVERLASTING COVENANT, as FIRST FRUITS of ISRAEL , Eze. 16; 60-63, ! LORD SENT Joseph before ISRAEL came to Egypt Ps 105 When Joseph’s sons receive inheritance as 1ST BORN, Joseph was tested and TRIED, Ps 105; 19 Ps 105; 16- Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread. 17-He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:---servants we ALL are, to serve LORD’S COVENANT! 18-Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:---in prison , feet chained and made to work! 19 -Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.—all the words written about us FULFILLS amidst us, the WONDERFUL COUNSELOR is TESTING, JUDGING us whether WE DESERVE to be IN HIS EVERLASTING COVENANT! · LORD tested Joseph, Ps 105: 19, LORD tests all His servants to see whether they are RIGHTEOUS! · Remember JESUS CHRIST was tested and tried ON THE CROSS, and HE PROVED TO BE THE LAMB of ALMIGHTY TO SHED BLOOD of GOOD SHEPHERD, for EVERLASTING COVENANT, Heb. 13; 20 Even in PRISON Joseph did well— Ge 39:22-And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it---Joseph ruled the other prisoners---Joseph ordered other prisoners’ works! We ALL are prisoners who are being judged— Ps 69:33-For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.---gentiles (1st born of poor, Isa 14; 30, as prisoners are NOT DESPISED) Ps 146:7 -Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners: · When prisoners do well, He looses chains to go out of prison! Isa 49:9 -That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.--- · Spiritual Prisoners should leave PRISON by eating food of LORD La 3:34 -To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth, · Earth is Sanctuary, Ps 78; 69, JESUS CHRIST crushes prisoners under HIS FEET! Zec 9:11-As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water. · PRISONERS leave prison to be established in EVERLASTING COVENANT by BLOOD OF COVENANT, Heb. 13; 20 Zec 9:12 -Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee; · Prisoners are given A HOPE to leave PRISON by BLOOD OF COVENANT! · Just as Joseph was met by ALL COUNTRIES, for they came to buy food · CHRIST would be met by ALL FLESH, when ISRAEL and ALL FLESH would PUT ON CHRIST by baptizm, who would be sons of God, and sons of Abraham, Gal. 3; 26-29, · SONS OF GOD and SONS OF Abraham would come to know THE EVERLASTING COVENANT between GOD AND Abraham, when THEY HAVE CHRIST IN THEM, Col 1; 26, 27! · The MINISTRY HAS TO PROVE “CHRIST in them’ 2 Co 13; 4-7. Joseph said how GOD INTERPRETS DREAMS Ge 40:8 -And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you. TRUE GOD who counsels DREAMS OF PEACE, Gen. 41; 16 Would MAKE THEM KNOWN to THOSE WHO FEAR HIM, As HE PERFORMS THEM Ge 41:15 -And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it: and I have heard say of thee, that thou canst understand a dream to interpret it. Ge 41:16 -And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace. · Joseph feared GOD, Gen. 42: 18, Joseph knew that he would SIN AGAINST GOD if he listened to Potiphar’s wife! · When you fear God, you would HONOUR HIS COMMANDS! Ge 41:25 -And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what He is about to do. LORD Brings His faithful TO MAKE THEM KINGS, RULERS Even from PRISON Joseph was brought from prison, Gen. 41; 14, 15 Ge 41:39--And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: Ge 41:42 And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; Joseph made RULER in LAND OF Egypt--Ge 41:44 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt. Ge 41:45 And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt. When PRESENT DAY PRISONERS come out of PITS by blood of COVENANT, Zec. 9; 11, they would be made LORD’S DISCIPLES, APOSTLES, Rev. 21: 14, they are KINGS OF NATIONS, Rev. 21; 24 Joseph was NOT A CHILD when HE became Ruler in land of Egypt Ge 41:46-And Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt. · Ec 10:16 -Woe to thee, O land, when thy king is a child, and thy princes eat in the morning!-children should be mature in knowledge of God! Joseph’s work was blessed--Ge 41:49-And Joseph gathered corn as the sand of the sea, very much, until he left numbering; for it was without number. · LORD BLESSES Abraham’s descendants AS SAND OF SEA— Ge 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; · God’s blessings are like SAND OF SEA, for GREAT ARE HIS BLESSINGS, as HE POSSESS everything, and AS HE COULD CREATE ANY THING! Priests to serve God and serve congregation, Nu 16; 9, would multiply just as in history of ACTS, Ac 6:7 -And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.---that is a lesson to priests today to be obedient to FAITH OF CHRIST, Gal. 2; 16, Php 3; 9 Joseph was able TO FEED HIS BRETHREN!, just as he fed Those in ALL THE EARTH, Gen. 41; 56, 57! Gen. 42: 1 --Now when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt, Jacob said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another? 2 And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live, and not die. 3 And Joseph’s ten brethren went down to buy corn in Egypt. · When ISRAEL (PCG as 1st fruits, Eze. 16; 60-63) is blessed, the whole world would be blessed! · LORD made PCG to return to Egypt, Deut.28; 68, Some gentiles as Hagar, Gen. 21: 9 (is to represent ALL FLESH) · JESUS CHRIST makes them FRUITFUL while in Egypt, to return To HIM, then they HAVE NEW WINE to return to KINGDOM OF GOD!—LORD gives LIVING WATER, to be cleansed, Zec. 13; 1 · They would be a LIGHT TO THE WORLD, Mt. 5; 14-- Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. ALL FLESH in all the earth WOULD COME TO KNOW GOD ALMIGHTY through THE SEED CHRIST MAKES through LAMB, Isa 53; 10– SEED OF CHRIST is SPIRITUAL, 1 Co 15; 44-46 HOLY SPIRIT is given through baptizm, Acts. 2; 38, 39, baptizm grants ETERNAL LIFE, Rom. 6; 22, 23, ETERNAL LIFE is knowledge of GOD, Jn. 17; 3, knowledge of God has to be KNOWN through ALL WORDS OF BIBLE, they are HIS WORDS, which teaches us OF HIM, HIS POWERS, HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, HIS PEACE, HOW HE MAKES PEACE, HOW HE MADE 1ST Covenant, HOW HE GAVE INHERITANCE to ISRAEL, how they SINNED AGAINST HIM, and all about HIM AND HIS PEOPLE, and what HE DESIRES FROM HIS PEOPLE! · If you do not get HOLY SPIRIT through baptizm, Rom. 6, Gal. 3; 26-29, you would NOT BE MADE TO UNDERSTAND of HIS EVERLASTING LIFE which HE HAD PURPOSED for LIFE IN EVERLASTING COVENANT with a CHOSEN PEOPLE serving HIM in RIGHTEOUSNESS! When He gives HOLY SPIRIT through baptizm, Acts.2;38, 39, you are to STORE SPIRIT in yourself, you become a TEMPLE, a spiritual house, 1 Co 3: 16, and LORD would destroy you IF YOU DESTROY HIS SPIRIT, 1 Co 3; 17. · Prosper “only if they OBSERVE to do all that is written in Law”, Jos.1:7,8—CHRIST SAID--Mt 4:4 -But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (read in 1067) From 1086-- Ge 41:56 -And the famine was over all the face of the earth: Ge 41:57 -And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands. SPIRIT OF GOD was with Joseph Gen. 41; 45-And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnathpaaneah; (therefore it is a fact that Joseph was not Egyptian by birth, Joseph believed NOT IN Egyptian gods, it was obvious to Pharaoh, that Joseph had SPIRIT OF GOD—Gen. 41: 38 -And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? Joseph interpreted dream of Pharaoh when GOD MADE Joseph to know the INTERPRETATION Gen. 41; 8 -And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men thereof: and Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them unto Pharaoh. · Gen. 41; 16-And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace. Pharaoh’s dream was What GOD WAS ABOUT TO DO, Gen. 41; 25!! ALMIGHTY was about to BRING in A FAMINE, Gen. 41; 25, 56, 57 Finger of God was about to bring in a FAMINE to EARTH (2 Kin 8; 1 says it is LORD who CALLS FAMINES) Ge 41:25 -And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what He is about to do. Joseph was known in all the lands of face of earth Ge 41:56 -And the famine was over all the face of the earth: And Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt. --Ge 41:57 -And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands. Joseph was made RULER as Joseph had shown his WISDOM Lesson is we would be wise when we fear God! Gen. 41: 38 -And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? 39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: 41 -And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. 43 -And he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had; and they cried before him, Bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt. 44 -And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, I am Pharaoh, and without thee shall no man lift up his hand or foot in all the land of Egypt. · Joseph had SUCH GREAT POWER in Egypt! The purpose of PCG leader made as Pharaoh, Rom. 9; 17, would be A BLESSING to the WORLD! For WORLD would come to know ALMIGHTY POWERS Of GOD OF WHOLE EARTH! Rom. 9: 17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. Pharaoh during the time of Joseph knew the ALMIGHTY POWERS OF GOD, just as Pharaoh in exodus 4 to 15 knew the ALMIGHTY POWERS OF GOD OF ISRAEL! PART 3— Jacob had wisdom to bless Ephraim Job 12:12 -With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding. Jacob was blessed when he fought GOD, Gen. 32; 24-30 That was when GOD came as a MAN to wrestle with Jacob Jacob also knew experiences of Joseph Therefore Jacob wisely set his hand on Ephraim Job 12:12 -With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding. LORD’S COUNSEL was Ephraim Therefore LORD made Jacob to bless Ephraim Jer. 31; 20--Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD. Jacob was 130 years when he came to Egypt, Gen. 47; 8, 9---Jacob lived 147 years, and lived in Egypt 17 years, Gen. 47; 28. God blessed Jacob, Gen. 48: 3-5, Jacob said Ephraim and Manasseh are like Reuben and Simeon, vs. 5 (That is they are to be blessed like for Jacob’s own children). Saying so, we see Jacob blessing Ephraim before Manasseh, Gen. 48; 19-20. Jacob was wise, he considered all what happened to him before Pr 1:5-A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: Pr 3:7-Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. · We see—wise people FEAR THE LORD and DEPART from EVIL because LORD blesses such! Pr 3:35 -The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools. Pr 9:9 -Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. · These proverbs are as LAWS OF NATURE—Law of gravitation discovered by Sir Isaac Newton and such other laws! · MEN FIND what GOD DECREED! WHY VIRGINS VIRGINS CARE FOR THE LORD more than wives— 1 Co 7; 34 -There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband. CONCLUSION (Lessons from fathers) Jacob was blessed when he fought GOD, When GOD came as a MAN to wrestle with Jacob, and his name changed to ISRAEL, Gen. 32; 24-30, Jacob knew experiences of Joseph when Joseph was a young boy and also the sufferings and fruitful life of Joseph while in Egypt and Jacob wisely set his hand on Ephraim , Gen. 48; 20. HE WOULD NOT DESTROY THE COVENANT 2Ki 13:23 And the LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet. Abraham and Isaac--- Isaac lived in Canaan according to WORD OF GOD, and GOD PROMISED the COVENANT sworn to Abraham as Abraham was faithful to keep His charge, statutes, Commandments and laws, Gen. 26; 1-6. Jacob--- This article had shown how LORD blessed Jacob, had made him see dreams, all about GOD’S COUNSELS which Jacob was made to understand. Gen.28: 19-And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first. –Abraham built an ALTAR unto the LORD at BETHEL, Gen. 12; 8, --in Gen. 28; 19---Jacob came to BETHEL on the way to LABAN’S (to marry Rachael, and Leah ), 20 And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, 21-So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:---NOTICE—it is in BETHEL, Jacob made this VOW knowing GOD IS WITH Jacob ---therefore Jacob promised to give TITHES, keeping a STONE AS GOD’S HOUSE---vs. 22-- 22 -And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee. NOTICE—in Gen. 28: 21—Jacob said LORD would be his GOD If Jacob comes back to his father’s house IN PEACE-- In following vv we see Jacob coming back to Bethel in Canaan where Abraham pitched his tent, then Abraham went to south and stayed in GERAR, Gen. 20; 1, Isaac was born in Gerar, Gen. 21, and Isaac stayed in GERAR, Gen. 26; 1-5 And we see in Gen. 31; 13 GOD commands Jacob to return to his kindred, (that is to father’s house) And in Gen. 35; 1-6 we see Jacob came to Canaan, Gen. 35; 1— God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, Ge 35:6 --So Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, that is, Bethel, he and all the people that were with him. (The land promised to Abraham, Gen. 13; 12, all nations in Canaan, Gen. 15: 18-21). Abraham pitched his tent at Bethel, where it was at the beginning, Gen. 13; 3, Ge 35:15 -And Jacob called the name of the place where God spake with him, Bethel. Well, there is much to speak of their journeys! LORD brought seed of ISRAEL from Egypt to Canaan, Read in Joshua 1---That is LORD brought ISRAEL to Promised Land of Canaan, as he promised to Abraham, Gen. 15; 18-21 2---we see Ephraim did not drive out the Canaanites, Josh. 16; 9, 10 ---FOR ISRAEL tribes were required to FIGHT, MAKE WAR and DRIVE OUT Canaanites to get their INHERITANCE. Josh. 16; 9-- And the separate cities for the children of Ephraim were among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages. 10 -And they drave not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites unto this day, and serve under tribute. PCG had nativity of Canaan, Eze.16; 3, Joseph said he is POSTERITY to PRESERVE lives of tribes – Gen. 45; 7 - And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. · That blessing went to Ephraim, Gen. 48; 20, but in history, Ephraim refused to fight Canaanites, and broke COVENANT, similarly, PCG made idols and broke COVENANT, Eze. 44; 7, Eze. 16; 59. · Then LORD in HIS MERCY made gentiles as a posterity, Ps 22; 30-31, as 1st born of poor, Isa 14; 30, A REMNANT of SABBATH keepers, Rom. 9: 28, 29, who took hold of SABBATHS and COVENANT, who were made known of SALVATION, Isa 56; 1-7, to make PCG prosper to receive inheritance in EVERLASTING COVENANT, Eze. 16; 60, PRAISE BE TO JESUS CHRIST who made HIMSELF AS LAMB to SAVE THEM through HIS ONE OFFERING, Heb. 10: 7-10, 14. SABBATH is a sign forever, for ISRAEL, Ex. 31.17— Ex 31: 16-Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. 17 It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. · No. 1071 HAD SHOWN that ISRAEL OUGHT TO UNDERSTAND that GOD OF WHOLE EARTH is GOD OF ISRAEL who SAVED ISRAEL from Egypt! Worshipping on SABBATHS and HOLY DAYS glorifies GOD OF ISRAEL for saving ISRAEL from Egypt, Ex 6; 6-8, and for ISRAEL to know HIS ALMIGHTY POWERS over HIS WORLD, to understand their GOD, HE is the POSSESSOR OF HIS CHURCH, Deut.5:12-15, Ex 20: 1, 8-10-- Num 15.37, 41, 38-40-- Deut. 16:9-12, Nu 16: 9. People would worship “UNKNOWN GOD” in IGNORANCE, Acts. 17: 23! ALMIGHTY came as HIS CHRIST, taught all about Covenant and sacrificed as LAMB of GOD, to make all worship HIM in TRUTH AND IN SPIRIT, as counseled, Jn. 4; 23, 24. WORTHY IS LAMB, Rev. 5; 12, 13 Who has POWER, BLESSING, HONOUR, GLORY, RICHES, WISDOM, STRENGTH (The SEVEN HORNS, Rev. 5; 6) Rev. 5: 12-Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. 13 -And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever.
