PART 1— Philadelphia Church of God failed as Ephraim –FAILED as a POSTERITY

Knowledge of POSTERITIES OF EVERLASTING COVENANT from the TIME of Noah should be known.

Posterity is the next generation after kings or Rulers of ISRAEL, ruling in Sanctuary of God performing CHARGE of GD OF WHOLE EARTH in the COVENANT with FATHERS.

In the days of kings, (written in chronicles) we find the posterities clearly.

ALMIGHTY GOD made known EVERLASTING COVENANT to Noah, Gen. 9

Then, ALMIGHTY GOD made known COVENANT to Abraham, Gen. 15

Isaac was made to know his service to God of CHARGE OF GOD, in Gen. 26;1-5.

In Gen. 28: 18-22 says how Jacob promised God to serve Him, that was Jacob as posterity.

·         Joseph said he is POSTERITY to PRESERVE lives of tribes –

Gen. 45; 7 - And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.

·        That blessing went to Ephraim, Gen. 48; 20, but in history, Ephraim refused to fight Canaanites, and broke COVENANT, similarly, PCG made idols and broke COVENANT, Eze. 44; 7, Eze. 16; 59.

Ho 5:9 -Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.

That is Ephraim’s failure is written in prophecies for ISRAEL!

·        That is failure of Ephraim caused TRIBES OF ISRAEL to fall, Hos. 5;9.

·        Be sure therefore that PROPHECIES are FOR TRIBES OF ISRAEL, they are NOW the CALLED and PEDESTINED for HIS SERVICE AND COVENANT, Rom.  9; 4-6, that is Philadelphia Church of God,who had Covenant,  Eze. 16;8-14 , who broke covenant, Ez 16;59, Ez 44;7, by becoming a harlot, Eze 16;15 

Ho 5:3  I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled.

CHRIST our LORD heals them

Ho 11:3  I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them.

Ho 11:9  I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.

LORD made GENTILES of FAR COUNTRY to SERVE HIM AS the POSTERITY during DAY OF LORD

Introduction

1 Co 15; 50 -Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

New things do I declare, Isa 42:9, I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, Isa 48:6, behold, all things are become new, 2Co 5:17, Behold, I make all things new, Re 21:5. 

CHRIST OUR LORD as Creator creates a new world , NEW JERUSALEM, with a SECOND COVENANT with His One Offering –His people are to keep His COVENANT having faith in His truths which is Him Crucified, Gal 3:1 --O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? For all things all blessings would be given to His people to perform His COVENANT with diligence, worshipping with His spirit and Truth, Jn.  4;23,24.

Joseph kept COVENANT with all the troubled he faced in Egypt—He was the last posterity of COVENANT with Abraham, Ge 45:7, And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. after that Ephraim  to receive posterity but he broke COVENANT.

So the inheritance promised to Abraham descendants are to be given to a next generation of ISRAEL. Since all ISRAEL failed, Dan 9:11,Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him. LORD made the people of far gentiles to be a posterity which would declare the next generation of ISRAEL –so they would present ISRAEL as children, Isa 60:9,Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.Eze 47:22And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel., Ps 22:30--A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

31  They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this--as East wind of ships of Tarshish. They are to Walk about in Zion and declare the next generation, Ps 48:7-14

Well just before I was called to WCG, I had a vision as I had written in some articles—LORD appeared in that vision while I was kneeling down and praying (with closed eyes of course), since I had prayed and asked how I could serve Him.

His vision was as Dan 7-9 --I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.Re 1 and

He said in that vision, “Bring children unto me” the same phrase echoed about 5 times and I saw about 5 children boys and girls, white and dark—coming to HIS THRONE.

As I wrote earlier too, I had told the then Minister of WCG about the vision—he laughed (though not sarcastically but made me to teach in Sabbaths school and within 3 years in WCG, I was made a deaconess, served WCG from 1988-1998?

(I am not sure of the time I left)—I left when ministry was found unrighteous,  and I prayed to GOD  that I had not left serving HIM, I continued to study from New Testament and Old Testament , but trying to find a True church.

In 2001 I joined PCG  attended service on Pentecost 2001 after accepting that there was a prophet according to Eze. 2:5,And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

6 ¶  And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.6

Well if the word of GOD says there is a prophet –it has to be True, that was how I accepted!!

Not so long it took, for me to understand that wickedness was greater in PCG !

The way the then RD spoke to us was not at all conforming to the teachings of JESUS CHRIST! And at the same time I came to know the Bamah abomination and it was revealed to me through Eze. 20:29 But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.in a miraculous way—then I was made to do according to Lev 5:1 And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity.and at that very time—GW1 was disfellowshipped and wife of PCG Leader got a stroke according to the words of Eze. 24, so prophecies began to be clear to us! 

·        RD required me not to fellowship with my sister GW1--

But I knew of Bamah matter and never stopped to serve according to Lev 5:1

DAY OF LORD works of CHRIST our LORD proved how land would become as a virgin, Isa 62; 4,5.

So the new things would begin very shortly as words are fulfilling rapidly that would be the end, Re 17:17For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.,18--And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

·         So prophecies fulfill in spiritual JERUSALEM where ABOMINATIONS were seen, Eze. 16;2, Eze. 22;1,2

Now world begins with a DAY ONE, Ex  12.2, and PCG to KNOW the 1^ST DAY OF YEAR, Eze. 45:18-25

Church had given me very many examples of wickedness of whoredoms against GOD  to be understood by adultery, harlotry—in church in world around us—so as a mature woman I was made to judge as in Eze. 23:45 And the righteous men, they shall judge them after the manner of adulteresses, and after the manner of women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.to eradicate whoredom in GOD ’s church, Eze. 23:45-48

Recent articles (from No. 1172) had shown word of GOD to prove that Gerald Flurry is exalting a dead man H.W. Armstrong to teach the LIVING CHURCH of CHRIST --- when CHRIST OUR LORD had never been corrupted by death—CHRIST OUR LORD Raised and by that same power He would give LIFE to the dead church, through Rom.  6; 19-23, when people bow down to Rom.  6;3-23—

·        Gerald Flurry taught a LIE worshipping creature H. W. Armstrong when they should worship CREATOR, Ro 1:25—Gerald Flurry is the one who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Ro 2:9   Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

All prophecies would fulfill!

MEN OF NINEVEH is compared to PCG and SOME GENTILES

Nah 2; 8  But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.

·        Nineveh of old REPENTED –But NOW those in NINEVEH do not LOOK BACK to those of OLD to REPENT!

When people do not HEAR HIS COMMANDS

CHRIST our LORD gives them CROOKED WORKS which cannot be STRAIGHTENED, Ec 7; 12-14.

Then they would be FILLED WITH LUSTS of FLESH

Nah 3; 3 --The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:

4 -Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.

5 -Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.

6 -And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazingstock.

·        LORD made severe judgments to eradicate harlotry when PCG became a harlot, Eze. 16;15-59.

·        Even gentiles were judged, mal 3;16-18, and they too are to REPENT AND RECONCILE, Mt. 5, and FORGIVE each other, otherwise CHRIST our LORD would also NOT FORGIVE, Mt. 6; 13-15.

7  And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee?

·        WELL, ALL IN CHURCH are to HEAR HIS WORDS TO BE BUILT UP FOR SECOND COVENANT, which is EVERLASTING , Eze.16;60.

·        When PCG could not understand prophecies, GENTILES who keep HIS CHARGE understood, and LORD made them the POSTERITY before PCG!

Ps 109:13 -Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

There are REASONS for LORD to CUT OFF POSTERITEIS if the people are UNRULY, DISOBEDIENT TO GOD’S COMMANDS!

Ephraim was cut off because he did not fight to take his inheritance and broke Covenant, Ps 78; 9-10.

ALMIGHTY as CHRIST led ISRAEL out of Egypt, and was ROCK OF ISRAEL, as is today, 1 Co 10; 1---and HE MAKES JUDGMENTS --

In Nu 9; 10—we find a judgment,

Nu 9:10  Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the Passover unto the LORD.

Prophecy for Philadelphia Church of God ---Am 4:2  The Lord GOD hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the days shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks.

Judges, kings served GOD to rule ISRAEL 

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob –2Ki 13:23  And the LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.

Disciples kept SERVICE of God and taught them to next generation, to PAUL and others including Timothy, thus decrees to keep were ordained by apostles and elders at JERUSALEM and thus CHURCHES established, Acts. 16; 1-5. 

70 year indignation came, Isa 23; 15

Isa 23; 15 -And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.

16 -Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.

17 -And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.

18 -And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.

Gerald Flurry wrote in --FINISHING THE ELIJAH WORK

--In verses 21 and 25 of John I, the religious leaders mention a prophesied individual called "that prophet." Lange's Commentary says it was "the 'well-known' prophet, a personage in their messianic theology presumed to be familiar." This prophet was familiar to them because of their knowledge of prophecy. "This particular prophet, therefore, is meant, who should COMPLETE THE FORERUNNING OFFICE OF ELIJAH..." (ibid.). In other words, that prophet and those people supporting him would FINISH THE ELIJAH WORK. (This passage is thoroughly explained in our free booklet Who Is "That Prophet"?) This is a prophecy of our work today!

Gerald Flurry wrote in --FINISHING THE ELIJAH WORK

We know that the Word is directing this Work, and that this is the only hope of mankind. We know the Messiah is here! We KNOW this is all leading to the return of Jesus Christ. All these other events have been fulfilled to the letter, and so shall the Second Coming be!

MESSIAH IS “THAT PROPHET”—Acts. 3: 20-26 says ALL PROPHETS including Moses prophesied of MESSIAH AS THAT PROPHET!

·        Mustard seed having faith throws mountain of ISRAEL (ZION ) in the FIELD, Jer. 17; 3 into sea, because TYRE is exalting himself above GOD OF WHOLE EARTH, Eze. 28: 1-16

ALL these words prophesied would fulfill in LAST DAYS-(Rev. 17: 17 {when beasts as Ps. 49; 20 works in His church})--LORD thy God is among you, a mighty God and terrible, Deut.  7: 21-- a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward, Deut.  10: 17--For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth, Ps. 47: 2, By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; Ps.65: 5, (To Give SALVATION, Heb. 9: 28, LORD does FIGHT the SATANIC CHURCH as they are deceived, Rev. 12; 9), --he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men, Ps. 66; 5---men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts:, Ps. 145: 6—gentiles a terrible nation, from the beginning, Isa 18: 2, 7, (History of our country proves so) the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee, Isa 25: 3 (They FEAR GOD) , For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall, Isa 25; 4 (we are as 1^st born of POOR, trusting in ZION, Isa 14; 30,32)----David prophesied of these strangers serving as David, 2 Sam 22; 44-45—LORD helps poor from HIS RIGHT HAND, Ps. 109: 31.

LORD is ROCK of field, Jer.18:14-17, 1Co10:2-4, ROCK of ISRAEL is GOD of ISRAEL said David, 2 Sam 23:3.

When we are given ETERNAL LIFE we come to KNOW HIS GODLINESS---

 When ALMIGHTY came made as a SON, Heb. 7: 1-3, He fulfilled WORK OF GOD in obedience as the SON, made as a man of no reputation, Php 2; 7, 8, to SERVE THE WILL OF  ALMIGHTY GOD. CHRIST had to sacrifice HIMSELF, to shed Blood of NEW COVENANT, Mt 26: 28, Heb. 10: 7-14, having taught Kingdom of heaven and Kingdom of God. 

Then His disciples served in AD 31 church in obedience to HOLY SPIRIT, even being Martyrs.

His servants of gentiles today, are to LIVE our time NOT FOR LUSTS, BUT TO SERVE THE WILL OF GOD, 1 Pe 4; 2, Those who escaped from house of Judah to BEAR FRUIT UPWARD, Isa 37: 31, as married to CHRIST, Rom. 7; 4—LOOK at the WORDS WE GENTILES ARE TO DO—

Mt. 19: 29, Mt. 10: 37, Jn. 12; 25, Lu. 14; 26

Mt 19: 29--every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.---

·        Law and prophets until John, Lu. 16; 16, (That means ALL WHO HAD received baptizm unto John would BE UNDER LAW—but JESUS CHRIST said-- Ac 1:5  For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the HOLY SPIRIT not many days hence.

·        JESUS CHRIST meant that they have to seek BAPTIZM to be SAVED, Mk 16: 16, receiving HOLY SPIRIT, it is Ac.  2; 38, 39, Mt 3: 11, Jn. 1;33.

If you wisely consider—ALL ISRAEL in history had been breaking Covenant, having idols, committing harlotry---SO LORD had made a FOOLISH NATION to shame them, and provoke them to anger, Deut. 32: 21, that prophecy is fulfilling in our gentile work, --THIS IS TO CREATE FEAR OF GOD among ISRAEL, for they should NEVER THINK THAT SERVING IN EVERLASTING COVENANT is a SMALL WORK! –Isa 59; 21 has to CONTINUE FOR GENERATIONS….

·        Prov 15: 4--A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the Spirit.---all teachings of psalms, proverbs, prophecies, gospels NEED US TO LIVE THEM! Ministry has to teach HIS WORDS to congregation to be doers of HIS WORDS!---then the RIGHTEOUSNESS LORD needs in HIS EVERLASTING COVENANT under the SCEPTRE of RIGHTEOUSNESS, Heb. 1: 8, 9,  would be SWEET to HIM!

·        When GOD OF WHOLE EARTH created the WORLD, -it is FOR HIS PURPOSE—GOD OF ISRAEL chose ISRAEL for HIS PURPOSE!

World is HIS FIELD, good seed are the children of Kingdom, Mt 13; 38, (they would be SAVED in Rev. 11; 15----CHURCH is MOUNTAIN in the FIELD, Jer 17; 3, LORD is ROCK of field, Jer. 18: 14-17, 1 Co 10: 2-4, ROCK of ISRAEL is GOD of ISRAEL said David, 2 Sam 23: 3.

·        GOD OF ISRAEL brought ISRAEL out of Egypt, Ex .15. to sacrifice to MOST HIGH, Ex 3: 18, to hold a feast to the LORD, Ex 5; 1, to serve Him, Ex  7: 16, as commanded, Ex 8; 27.

ROCK of ISRAEL, is GOD OF ISRAEL, as David said, 2 Sam 23; 3, THAT ROCK was CHRIST, 1 Co 10: 2-4— 1Co 10: 2  And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;------3- And did all eat the same spiritual meat;----------4  And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. -----9 -Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.---10  Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

Here is prophecy of Manna for NEW COVENANT

And broke COVENANT like in the days of HISTORY

SO IN Jer. 24; 1--Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah---we see fathers, their sons as kings DID EVIL in the sight of GOD OF ISRAEL, they were serving Nebuchadnezzar AND Pharaoh and making the people of GOD’S LAND of ISRAEL  sin against GOD!

So LORD shows Philadelphia Church of God as Ephraim who broke COVENANT, Ps 78; 9-10, as PCG too broke Covenant, Eze. 44; 7, Eze.16; 59. 

And in THIS GENERATION CHRIST had come a SECOND TIME to give SALVATION, Heb. 9; 28, through MINISTRY OF CIRCUMCISION, Rom.  15; 8, ruling gentiles, Rom. 15; 12, that is GENTILES RECEIVING LIGHT  of CHRIST who received CIRCUMCISED HEARTS,  as they were PURIFIED BY BLOOD SHED ON HIS CROSS, Eph. 2; 11-13, to LIGHTEN ISRAEL, Isa 60.

·        Joseph became a posterity (a generation which saves life of next generation) , Gen. 45; 7 (Gen. 45; 1-10)

·        But Ephraim broke Covenant, Ps 78;9-10,  and his GENERATION ends in COVENANT ---BUT

·        EVERLASTING COVENANT PROMISED to FATHERS  is ORDAINED to CONTINUE FOREVER.

·        Therefore LORD CHOSE gentile work as A POSTERITY, Ps 22 : 30-31 (as a generation to DECLARE TO NEXT GENERATION—

·        That is GENTILES (US) declaring to PCG as NEXT GENERATION, written as in Eze. 16: 59-63

·        PCG broke Covenant ,Eze. 44; 7, Eze. 16; 59, and RULERS OF ISRAEL  had been breaking COVENANT always, so  LORD had shown this time of HIS DAY—DAY OF LORD  to justify them and build them up, Jer. 1; 10.

·        LORD SHAMES PCG and establishes EVERLASTING COVENANT, PCG as Ephraim, forgiving RULERS of ISRAEL in HISTORY!

LORD measures FATHERS’ SINS to PCG

Isa 65:7 -Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.

6--Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,

Mt 23:32--Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers

Therefore PCG WOULD HAVE TO REPENT for FATHERS’ SINS TOO!

Rom.  11; 28 --As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes.

Rom.  11; 26 -And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

Gentile received MERCY through the UNBELIEF OF ISRAEL

31-Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.---so what we GENTILES HAD LEARNT through HIS WORDS (HIS Mercy) has to be LEARNT TO BELIEVE HOW HE WOULD make you BORN AGAIN into KINGDOM OF GOD by having circumcised hearts to OBEY HIM!

32-For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

·        IT IS ONLY HIS MERCY He had taught to us gentiles, Heb. 1; 2, Isa 17; 7, for LORD had promised to TEACH ALL WHOM HE CALLED, Jn.  6; 44, 45.

The Philadelphia Church of God sponsors a private liberal arts college. Why is our college named Herbert W. Armstrong College? We had many different names to choose from, and spent a considerable amount of time searching for the right name.

Herbert W. Armstrong was one of the most prominent religious leaders of the 20th century.

·       Comment---Philadelphia Church of God SPENT  CONSIDERABLE TIME to find a name for GOD’S COLLEGE, and FINALLY NAMED after H. W. Armstrong, with many a minister delighting in that name!!

·       They all forgot the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST who BOUGHT THE CHURCH with HIS OWN BLOOD, Acts. 20; 38, 1 Co 6; 20!

1 Co 6: 20 --For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Jer. 11: 10- They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear My words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken My covenant which I made with their fathers.

Notice, it is also in the prophecies of the Old Testament. “The great day of the Lord (time of God’s wrath--- the last plagues) came. …..trouble and DISTRESS and I (God) will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like BLIND MEN ….. (Zeph 1: 14- 17)…..

The established custom of the world’s churches says in effect… world come and fellowship with us. ……ye adulterers   know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore, will be the friend of the world is the enemy of God….. …  but the churches of the world do the exact opposite of  Christ commanded. COMMENTS---it is PCG who invites and goes to work with the world!

SPIRITUAL ADULTERY

Just like WCG did, PCG too invited the world in to their church. God says, PCG is worst, because she invited the world in to the “ministry”. Here they are called ‘ADULTERERS” … that is fornication… and this was “not” done by “members” like WCG did. This was done by a “regional director”.

·        Ho 12:1 ¶  Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.

ISRAEL AMONG GENTILES

Ho 8:8 -Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.

Ho 9:3  They shall not dwell in the LORD’S land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.

·        As written in Eph.  2; 11-13—gentiles as fatherless found MERCY of CHRIST our LORD who cleansed us by HIS BLOOD to know the FATHER the CREATOR, OF HIS WORLD.

Ho 7:11  Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.

Dove found the true times to get out of ark of Noah, Gen. 8; 12—but Ephraim does not know the DAY OF LORD!

Ho 11:11 --They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the LORD.

Ho 5:13  When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.

·        Jareb here is compared to H. W. Armstrong who could NOT understand CROSS OF JESUS CHRIST that SAVES ISRAEL, but PCG WHO DOES NOT UNDERSTAND, Ps 49;20, follows H. W. Armstrong!

Egypt would not save ISRAEL 

Isa 30:2  That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!

Isa 30:3  Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.

PCG DID NOT find the WAY TO HAVE FAITH IN ALMIGHTY JESUS CHRIST

Ho 5:11 --Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.

Ho 7:1  When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief cometh in, and the troop of robbers spoileth without.

Ephraim as a HARLOT—hired LOVERS

Jer 2:24 --A wild ass used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind at her pleasure; in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find her.

They cannot live in LAND OF CHRIST our LORD

We should understand that COUNSELS of CHRIST our LORD

Would be FULFILLED as HE IS THE WISE COUNSELLOR, Isa 9;6

Ho 9:11 -As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.

Ho 9:13-Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer.

Ho 9:16  Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.

·        Ephraim WOULD NOT have A POSTERITY as their CHILDREN would be KILLED!

·        Joseph was the posterity after Jacob ---and he had children, Ephraim over Manasseh, Gen. 48; 20

·        But PCG as Ephraim, does not have GODLY CHILDREN AS David to carry forward the EVERLASTING COVENANT!

·        Because they follow H. W. Armstrong who did not know TRUE BAPTISM UNTO CHRIST TO BE SAVED IN THE SECOND COVENANT for which CHRIST made HIS ONE OFFERING, Heb. 10: 7-10, 14.

Ho 10:6 -It shall be also carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb: Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel.

Ho 10:11  And Ephraim is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods.

·        POOR gentiles as Judah, Jer. 52; 16, would work, then Jacob would be strengthened.

Ho 11:12  Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints.

·        PCG thinks they have NO SIN because they are RICH!

·        They think they are BLESSED!

CHRIST our LORD heals them

Ho 11:3  I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them.

Ho 11:8  How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.

Ho 11:9  I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.

Now we gentiles learn from PAUL and Disciples of CHRIST  and became the POSTERITY before Ephraim!

·        PAUL is teacher of gentiles, 2 Tim 1; 11, CHRIST teaches gentiles, Heb. 1; 2, Isa 17; 7 (for PCG altar could not teach us, for we do not believe ALTAR of PCG, its groves (PCG books) and IMAGES, Isa 17; 8)

·        Then we gentiles become a posterity, Ps 22; 30-31

Ps 22: 30--A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. (this is SEED of gentiles of ships of Tarshish who were given EAST WIND, to work in ZION , Ps 48; 7-14) Ps 22 reveals SUFFERING OF CHRIST on HIS CROSS, thereafter it is gentiles who serve HIM ON DAY OF LORD, Eze. 30; 3—and ships of Tarshish would bring children of ISRAEL from FAR, Isa 60; 9, even other gentiles teach PRAISES of ALMIGHTY, Isa 60; 6, 7.

·        They PUBLISH RIGHTEOUSNESS OF CHRIST—Ps 22: 31

31 -They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this---WELL, WE HAD DONE just as HIS WORDS PROPHESIED! For TESTIMONY of JESUS CHRIST is SPIRIT of PROPHECY, Rev. 19; 10

In OLD COVENANT they were instructed to be prosperous in the LORD by KEEPING HIS CHARGE. Joshua 5; 8 --ISRAEL to keep His Laws and Manna was given to them to keep every word of LORD, Deut 8:3

·        Joshua said “God is giving you rest in this land”, Jos 1:12 ; but they would prosper “only if they OBSERVE to do all that is written in Law”, Jos.1:7,8 read in No. 1067

Disciples kept SERVICE of God and taught them to next generation, to PAUL and others including Timothy, thus decrees to keep were ordained by apostles and elders at JERUSALEM and thus CHURCHES established, Acts. 16; 1-5.

After CHRIST teaches we are to keep HIS CHARGE according to SUBSTANCE OF CHRIST –Col 2; 13-23 tells us NOT TO SERVE AS men TEACHES, for OLD COVENANT service is TO BE KEPT with SUBSTANCE OF CHRIST, according to EVERY WORD OF HIS as CHRIST establishes NEW COVENANT!

·        So LORD in HIS MERCY made gentiles as a  posterity, Ps 22; 30-31, as 1^st born of poor, Isa 14; 30, A REMNANT of SABBATH keepers, Rom.  9: 28, 29, who took hold of SABBATHS and COVENANT, who were made known of SALVATION, Isa 56; 1-7, to make PCG prosper to receive inheritance in EVERLASTING COVENANT, Eze. 16; 60, PRAISE BE TO JESUS CHRIST who made HIMSELF AS LAMB to SAVE THEM through HIS ONE OFFERING, Heb. 10: 7-10, 14. 

The TWO WITNESSES are born in Sri Lanka, they acted what CHRIST our LORD HAD REQUIRED OF US!

·       We had to show righteousness and wickedness!

·       GW 2 keeping HIS SABBATHS truly as Isaac would do, and GW1 as Ishmael who was not given Sabbaths!

14  In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man should find nothing after him.

Well, we all should know THAT THERE IS ONE GOD JESUS CHRIST, to OBEY HIS WORDS!

“Ophir” as “Nuwara Eliya-Sri Lanka” was recorded in an English history book I had read, (Of Sir William Smith) –I had also read in a book of gemology that a man named Ophir from Hyderabad, India who was a specialist in gems, had visited Nuwara Eliya for gold!

A report on NUWARA ELIYA GOLD

The native gold found in the mine had shapes varying from nuggets to dendritic form and sizes up to several centimeters in length. During the British rule of the country gold has been mined (Le Mesurier, 1893) from a vein like body in Ramboda (Fig. 1), which had a concentration of 28g per tonne of ore and also they found small quantities in the Nuwara Eliya area. Gold in small amounts has been reported (Ceylon Administrative Reports: Part IV, 1905)

In modern Sri Lanka, two main episodes of gold mining are evident. The first in 1850s in Mahaoya area, the second in early 1900 in Nuwara Eliya among tea plantations and the third being the last in 2014 Gold rush at Kelaniya river, not too far away from Colombo. In 1903, Dr. Coomaraswamy, the Government Mineralogist of then Ceylon, has reported to the Government of Her Majesty, Gold has been found in extractable quantities in rivers from many areas of Sri Lanka.

·       It is to THE GLORY of CHRIST our LORD,  I record here that I had been given life in my mother’s womb while in NUWARA ELIYA district, my father working in Tea plantations! My sister GW1 was born later after our father was transferred elsewhere.

·        Well, we both were of Tarshish, (Sri Lanka), when LORD broke ships of Tarshish, Ps. 48: 7-14, incidentally, our GREAT-GRAND UNCLE, Sir James Pieris had a shipping company, but later he did not do well in it! 

·        Later marriage of GW1, Rom.  7; 3, took her to Sheba!---

An ostracon (a pottery shard containing an inscription) found during the 1946 archaeological excavations of Tell Qasile (a site in Tel Aviv) validates the existence of that “pot of wealth”—Ophir.

It’s possible the fleet went to Australia or even east Africa, but it appears the gold of Ophir most likely came from the area of India, or perhaps Sri Lanka.

Solomon, with the help of the Phoenician king Hiram, built ships and sent servants who had knowledge of the sea to Ophir to bring back the greatly desired gold (1 Kings 9:26-28). Solomon had two navies: one based on the Mediterranean and one in Eilat. Sending servants who had “knowledge of the sea” shows that these ships were not taking short expeditions. They traveled extensively.

But where exactly did they travel? Theories abound. Some believe Ophir is in Sri Lanka or India

Did King Solomon’s ships sail thousands of nautical miles to Ceylon? Ruling for 40 years, King Solomon was Israel’s wealthiest and visionary king. He was the son of King David who wrote many of the Old Testament Psalms and also killed the giant warrior Goliath. The Bible narrates how Solomon (Hebrew name Yedidyah, and in Islam – Suleiman) asked God for wisdom, and in turn was blessed with all things. His father King David desired to build the Temple on Mount Moriah, to keep the Ark of the Covenant, a gold chest containing the stone tablets of the Ten Commandments.

The project was begun and completed by King Solomon. He was able to wield his powerful influence across Israel, and is said to have collected 18,125 Kg of gold (666 talents) in a single year.

Extending his prudent diplomacy, he made an alliance with King Hiram, and further consolidated his reign over Israel. It was in this background of blissful abundance that he was ordered by the High Priests to procure cinnamon oil to be used at religious rites in the holy Temple. This custom is found in the Book of Exodus where Moses is directed by God to use cinnamon oil. The book of (1 Kings, Chapter 8) talks about the magnificent feast when the Ark of the Covenant was brought in the month of Ethanim (possibly July) and placed inside the holy Temple. The massive temple was built to a Phoenician design (a clan of people famous for their purple Tyrian dye, who can be traced to present-day Lebanon). After building the Temple, Solomon spent 13 years building a royal palace in Ophel, Jerusalem.

The location of Tarshish?

King Solomon is said to have sent out his experienced naval fleet to an island in the East. The East in that era referred to the Orient, including Asia. It is from these ports that he obtained his cinnamon oil, along with peacocks and animals. He procured sandalwood, pepper, ivory, pearls and gems – items found abundantly in Sri Lanka. The long return journey took three years, a most daunting voyage (Book of Kings, Chapter 1, verse 23). Solomon had an established naval fleet which empowered Israel to excel in commercial trading. Chapter 9 of 2nd Chronicles talks of Solomon’s alliance for trade.

For decades, theologians and historians have intensely debated about the location of Tarshish, on the ancient mariner’s map. Many opine it is either the ancient port of Ophir located in India or Galle in Serendib (Sri Lanka). Others opine it could be Carthage (the second largest city in the Hellenistic period) in the sea of Tunisia. Ophir in India is said to be on the Kerala coast, in the Trivandrum District. In contrast, the 10th century lexicographer David Abraham thinks Ophir was an exotic location in old Ceylon.

Psalm 72 says that Tarshish was an island far away; it had rivers and forests. The Old Testament book of Ezekiel mentions trade ties with Tarshish, and ships of commerce. Whether Sri Lanka was known to the ancient Jews as Tarshish we can’t confirm, but can we assume that King Solomon got all his tropical delights from here? We must realize that the name Tarsus in the New Testament episode of Saul (who converted as Paul the Apostle) is a different town in south central Turkey.

The old skill of trading in peacocks is attributed to the Dravidian people. Ancient Tamils used this skill, and to date the peacock is a revered bird in the Hindu kovils in India and Sri Lanka. In his book of 1863, Sir William Smith attests that the classical Tamil name for peacock ‘thogkai’ was assimilated into Hebrew lingo for peacock, as ‘thukkiyyim’. This can support the cause that Solomon’s fleet sailed to our exotic island which still has thousands of peacocks. In 1845, James Emerson Tennant, the presiding Colonial Secretary also supported the fact that Solomon’s fleet had traded in Galle. Samuel Bochart (French Biblical scholar) tries to convince us that the Kudiramalai area of old Ceylon was the port of Tarshish. The old Phoenicians also recorded their trade in Tarshish where they got ivory and gems, from an island. Some opine the Phoenicians lived in Galilee, Israel, in lands gifted to Hiram by King Solomon. Solomon probably acquired expensive sapphires and rubies from ancient Serandib, which directs us to another fact.

After building the Temple of Jerusalem, Solomon was instructed on sewing of the attire of the high priests (of the chosen Levite clan). Their ‘ephod’ (breastplate) had to be adorned with 12 gems, one for each tribe of Israel. These gems may have been taken from Tarshish. King Solomon’s throne (1 Kings, Chapter 10) was made with ivory and gold and inlaid with precious stones. The arms of the throne depicted two lions. Among the birds and animals engraved into the throne is a peacock. Did Solomon purchase these gems from Serendib?

The Queen of Sheba may have traded with the island of the East. She gifted Solomon with spices and precious stones. She was of Ethiopian descent (old Kingdom of Nubia) but some say she is from Saba (South of Saudi Arabia) towards Yemen. She is depicted in art with exotic animals and birds, including peacocks. Her chief merchant agent was a man named Tamrin.

Jews: from India to Ceylon

Certain parts of India still have an active Jewish population. The original Jews had come to Cochin and settled down in Kerala. They were dark skinned Malabar Jews. Their colony was called Anjuvannam, and their leader was Rabban. They lived here for 1,000 years. Later, in the 16th century, Jews of Spanish and British origin came to Madras and engaged in the lucrative diamond business. These migrants learnt to speak Malayalam and Tamil. The third wave of Syrian Jews came to the Kanyakumari region of India. Another segment of visiting Jews settled down in Karachi, Lahore and Peshawar until the Partition of India in 1947. Interestingly there is a small community of Telugu-speaking Jews claiming lineage from Ephraim.

A Jewish memory

I was able to locate two other gravestones in the Borella cemetery in Colombo, when I went there with my friend Gunashantha. They had Hebrew inscriptions chiseled into the hard stone. One is of Joseph Bin Boim who died in 1888. The gravediggers said there should be a few more graves but we could not find them on this day. It is rare that someone would venture into the cemetery looking for Jewish graves. Sustaining a solitary flame of Jewish culture in Colombo is Chabad House. This former colonial bungalow is located opposite Cinnamon Red Hotel. Chabad House caters to a few folk from Israel and visiting Jewish businessmen. There was a Rabbi (Jewish priest) but I haven’t met him after the Covid pandemic. Was Tarshish an enigmatic port or a real trading paradise? The Jews of Ceylon have disappeared into history. Their ancient generations once enriched our island.
