DANGERS AFTER BEING BORN AGAIN AND GUARDING AGAINST IDOLATRY

1 Sam 15: 23  For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.

Therefore, IF WE STUBBORNLY FOLLOW OUR DESRIES, IT BECOMES IDOLATRY!

Eze. 20: 16  Because they despised My judgments, and walked not in My statutes, but polluted My sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.

When covenant people break sabbaths, LORD gives statutes that are not good, Eze. 20: 24,25---similarly when God’s knowledge is given LORD expects to product fruits, 2 Pe 1: 2-8, and if you do not use knowledge profitably, LORD GIVES a debased mind , Ro 1: 28-, to do those things that are not convenient, Ro 1: 28-31, and such would end up again in death, Ro 1: 32. (Ro 1: 29-31 is a list of sins!.

That shows stubbornness would cause you to stray from God’s Judgments!

Stubbornness to honour God as He says, stubbornness to repent or not getting rid of any other sin, and crucify lusts on the cross, Gal 5: 24 ----they are idolatry!

Therefore---STUBBORNNESS IS AS IDOLATRY AND IF YOU HAVE SUCH IDOLATRY (stubborn to follow God’s judgments), YOU POLLUTE SABBATHS AND DESPISE LORD’S JUDGMENTS, STATUTES!

So we should not have idols! Then our sacrifices to God would make Him smell a sweet aroma,

Eze 20:41  "I will accept you as a sweet aroma when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you have been scattered; and I will be hallowed in you before the Gentiles.

That vs. makes ISRAEL understand that they are scattered in NATIONS, and that JESUS CHRIST gathers ISRAEL, from nations, Eze. 39: 28,29, therefore ISRAEL should learn to MAKE SWEET SMELLING SACRIFICES TO GOD!

1 Sam 15: 23  For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft,----example---rebellion to think  against God’s Judgments, or rebellion to exalt men TO FOLLOW MEN’S commandments in SANCTUARY, without worshipping God in the MANNER GOD  DIRECTS,–IS REBELLION –it is as WITCHCRAFT—

Jer 17: 5--Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

10  I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

IT IS THEREFORE, VERY DANGEROUS TO FOLLOW UNBIBLICAL PRACTICES, FOR YOUR HEART COULD DEPART FROM GOD!

Jer 17: 12----A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary.

13  O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from Me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.

WE SHOULD REVERENCE GOD’S SANCTUARY –

Le 19:30  Ye shall keep My sabbaths, and reverence My sanctuary: I am the LORD.

Le 26:2  Ye shall keep My sabbaths, and reverence My sanctuary: I am the LORD.

Jer 17: 21-25 instructs not to take any burden on Sabbath day, and not to bring in any burden on Sabbath day, not to do any work on Sabbath day.

Jer 17: 24  And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto Me, saith the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;

25  Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.

Isa 1: 10-18 says LORD would not accept our services if we serve Him,  having iniquity in us, THAT IS WHY HE HIMSELF CLEANSES US of sin THROUGH HIS SACRIFICE, RO 6: 3-7, so that we SERVE HIM IN Righteousness unto Holiness, Ro 6: 19-22.

THE GLORIOUS HIGH THRONE OF JESUS CHRIST SHOULD BE PRESERVED THROUGH SERVING HIM IN HOLINESS HE GIVES US.

Heb 8: 1,2—

1-Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

2  A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

THEREFORE---WE ARE TO REVERANCE HIS TRUE TABERNACLE!

WHEN TO WORSHIP HIM IN THE SANCTUARY HE PITCHED?

 Isa 66: 22—For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before Me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

23  And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, saith the LORD.

SANCTUARY will be established in the midst of SANCTIFIED ISRAEL of Ro 9: 4,6, ---as written in Eze. 37: 28, the people of Eze. 16: 60-62, would be sanctified.

IF YOU TRANSGRESS AGAINST GOD’S JUDGMENTS—

Isa 66: 24-And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

Therefore laws of love, Ro 13: 8-10 should be honoured!

SO WE SHOULD BE HONOURING THE ABOVE WORDS OF JESUS CHRIST.

IN FACT WE SHOULD BE STUDYING THE WORDS OF GOD TO DO THEM.

OFFERING FOR SINS IS only ONCE—

Heb 10:10  By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

14  For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

18  Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.

26  For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

27  but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.

His sacrifice, the offering of His blood is for “ ONE TIME” only—Heb 10.14,18,26

Vs. 18 says NO MORE OFFERING FOR SINS

BUT, A GREATER PUNISHMENT IF YOU SIN AGAIN AFTER RECEIVING HIS SPIRIT THRU HIS GRACE, Heb 10.26-29

THEREFORE WE SHOULD DEPART FROM INIQUITY AFTER WE ARE FORGIVEN!

1 Jn 3.9---Whoever is born of God does not sin and cannot sin.

THAT MEANS WHEN WE ARE BORN OF THE SPIRIT (after the LORD had given us His spirit, Acts 2: 17,18; the firstfruits of the Spirit, Rom 8: 23), WE ARE NOT TO SIN. We have to overcome!

THE LORD IS PREPARING A MINISTRY TO BE WITH HIM AND SERVE HIM IN Righteousness –Mal 3: 3, 18, -Ez 48: 35, RE 21: 3, 22: 3

ISRAEL OF RO 9: 4,6,  IS BEING SENT THE KNOWLEDGE OF JESUS CHRIST, TO OVERCOME SIN, ---

Joh 8:12  Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."

Joe 1:18, Isa 14:30--  The firstborn of the poor will feed, And the needy will lie down in safety; I will kill your roots with famine, And it will slay your remnant.

WE RECEIVED GRACE TO BE first born of the poor, and we are to be OBEDIENT TO FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST—ROM 1: 5

Do not sin against brethren, you may wound their conscience. IF YOU SIN YOU SIN AGAINST JESUS CHRIST, 1 Cor 8.12--

Heb 3.12-Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

13  But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

14  For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end.

JESUS CHRIST SPEAKS TO US THROUGH HOLY SPIRIT –THEREFORE NO EXCUSE FOR SIN, Jn 15.22 (gentiles who were enlightened  fall into this category, Rom 15.12,13)

AFTER PARDONING THROUGH HIS GRACE, SHALL WE THEN CONTINUE IN SIN, THAT GRACE MAY ABOUND---NO—

IF WE DIED TO SIN –WE CANNOT LIVE ANY LONGER IN SIN –Rom 5: 20,21, --6: 1,2

OLD MAN WAS CRUCIFIED WITH HIM (our body of sin to be done away- SO THAT WE ARE NO LONGER SLAVES OF SINS, Rom 6.6)

WHEN WE DIED TO SIN, WE ARE FREED FROM SIN,

 Rom 6.2, 7—

THEN WE ARE ALIVE IN JESUS CHRIST, Rom 6.11

WE ARE COMMANDED NOT TO LET SIN REIGN IN OUR MORTAL BODIES-, Rom 6.12

We are to be doers of the work

Jas 1:25  But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

The law of liberty is for those who are led by the spirit, who walks in spirit, producing fruit of the spirit—Gal 5: 25, 18, 22-23.

Mt 12: 24- Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

IF WE HAD ERRED, we should CORRECT QUICKLY when we KNOW THE POWER OF JESUS CHRIST!

The LORD requires us to walk watchfully, not as fools, but knowing the scriptures to do them- (it is foolish to think that God would keep forgiving through HIS GRACE, Heb 10: 14, 17, 18{the vss say once forgiven there would be no more offering} each man is responsible how he builds on the foundation of JESUS CHRIST ---1 Cor 3: 10-- let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

When the LORD had poured His spirit through His grace, we should not do against the HOLY SPIRIT--

Mr 3: 29  "but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation"

This happened in Jude 4,

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

5--I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

That is a warning for the people who are SAVED!

IF YOU TURN GRACE INTO lasciviousness, or sinning in flesh—it results in DENYING JESUS CHRIST!

So such people could fall—1 Tim 4: 1 (departing from faith is prophesied)

Therefore, WHEN YOU BECOME NEW MEN, YOU SHOULD WORK OUT TO MAINTAIN  HOLINESS GIVEN THROUGH HIS BAPTIZM, RO 6: 3-22!

You are to produce holiness—

Ro 6:22  But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.

Paul said NOT TO BE UNAWARE OF THE FALL OF ISRAEL WHO WERE SAVED PHYSICALLY, 1Co 10:1, 2—

1 Co 10: 3-all ate the same spiritual food,

5  But with most of them God was not well pleased,

6 -  Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.

7  And do not become idolaters as were some of them. As it is written, "The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play."

They became idolaters through LUSTING FOR FOOD, AND ENJOYMENT!

AND THESE THINGS ARE EXAMPLES FOR US!

-         1 Co 10: 8  Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty–three thousand fell;

-         9  nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted

-         10  nor complain, as some of them also complained,

Vs. 11  Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

SO ALL THOSE HAVE HAPPENED FOR OUR ADMONITION—upon whom THE LAST DAYS HAVE COME!

They are warnings for the first born gentiles and for Israel who are to be born when their captivity is over!

We are not to lust and tempt JESUS CHRIST as the Israel did in history!

THOSE WHO ARE SAVED COULD BE DESTROYED, COULD BE CONDEMNED ETERNALLY,

JUDE 3-5 exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

4  For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

SO AS 1 CO 10: 1-11 SAID, SAVED PEOPLE FACE A DANGER IF THEY GO BACK TO THE WORLD, CRAVING FOR WORLDLY THINGS!

1 Tim 4: 1--Isa 66: 24, ---Re 21: 8—Re 22: 15—are other dangers. Many other dangers would be seen when you do your own bible studies, we are to note them, so that we follow the words of JESUS CHRIST , TO ABIDE IN HIS WORDS,

Joh 15:7  If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Jas 1:22  But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Therefore we should be learning His words, to be doers of the word!
