GENTILES
WHO SERVE THE LORD TODAY ARE TO TEACH THE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST
Act 15:8--And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness,
giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;9- And put no difference
between us and them, purifying
their hearts by faith. THOSE
VV. SAY OF GENTILES WHO HAVE PURIFIED HEARTS BY FAITH.
But SOME of them were prophesied to depart from faith, who did not
want to eat God’s food that was sanctified,1 Tim 4: 1-5, all ISRAEL and
gentiles (Great and small, Rev. 20; 12) should learn how gentiles were
commanded…
Gentiles
of Acts kept Sabbaths, Acts 13:42,44, heard Moses on Sabbaths, Acts 15:21, they were given special
conditions--
Acts 15:20--But that we write unto them,
that they abstain from pollutions
of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.—24--Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went
out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye
must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:--28--
For it seemed good to
the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these
necessary things; --
Idolatry is-- fornication,
uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which
is idolatry, Col 3: 5—see below-they were expected OBEDIENCE to many other
commands, judgments of the LORD-
Therefore to guide the GENTILES, they WERE TAUGHT NEW COMMANDMENT OF
GOD ALONG WITH OLD COMMANDMENTS, AS YOU SEE IN 1 Jo, --MENTIONED IN THIS
ARTICLE.
Acts 15: 29 -That ye abstain from meats
offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from
fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
They were to purify hearts by
faith—Acts 15:8,9
Examine what is idolatry
Col
3:5--11
Col 3: 5--Mortify therefore your members which are upon the
earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and
covetousness, which is idolatry:
6 -For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
7 -In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
GENTILES WERE CLEANSED BY HIS BLOOD, Eph. 2: 13, to join the ISRAEL, Eph. 2:
11-12.
8- But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice,
blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.—GENTILES
to be OBEDIENT to such!
9 -Lie not one to another, seeing that ye
have put off the old man with his deeds;--when
LORD cleansed us WE WERE CLEANSED OF OLD MAN IN US!
10 -And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge
after the image of him that created him:--LORD MADE US NEW MEN---IT IS
THE NEWNESS GIVEN BY Baptizm unto His death, to be born again in newness of
life, Rom 6: 3-7, which gives HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS UNTO HOLINESS, to serve Him, Vs. 19, 22, IN THE
HOUSE OF GOD, Isa. 56: 2-7, AS 1ST BORN OF POOR, Isa. 14: 30.
11 -Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor
uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in
all.---WHEN CHRIST’S CIRCUMCISION IS GIVEN THROUGH HIS BAPTZM, Col 2;
11-13, we ARE IN CHRIST!
When
did gentiles put on new men—They became new men by—Col 3:1-3
Col 3: 1— If ye then be risen with Christ,
seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of
God.
2 -Set your affection on things
above, not on things on the earth. {affection: or, mind }
3 -For ye are dead,
and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Old man is dead (In the case of gentiles, the man who was perished
by law is dead, Rom. 2: 12- For as many as have sinned without law shall also
perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged
by the law)
So old men of gentiles now serving, Isa. 56: 2-7, were made newness
of life when risen with Christ, when He forgave us and cleansed us by His blood,
Eph. 2: 13—heart was circumcised--
How did gentiles die?
Col 2:11- In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without
hands, in putting
off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12- Buried
with Him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of
the operation of God, who hath raised Him from the dead.
13 -- And you, being dead in your sins
and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath He quickened together with
Him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
(So all sins of gentiles not performing ordinances TRULY IN GOD’S
CHURCH, and sins IN FLESH, were forgiven, Col
2:14-17)
Therefore,
gentiles have to have faith in JESUS CHRIST that we were purified of our
hearts, forgiven to serve Him in newness of life---NOT SERVING SIN, Rom. 6: 6,
2 Tim 2: 19.
Therefore, Col 2:11-13 circumcision of
Christ was received by GENTILES, to SERVE HIM--
When
you see Col 2; 12---it is the SAME BAPTIZM AS Rom. 6—3-7, 19—22, WHICH ENABLES
TO SERVE HIM in Righteousness unto Holiness--
Col 2;12-- Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen
with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from
the dead.—
That
is the same baptizm written in Ro 6- Then we are not to serve sin, Rom. 6: 6, but to serve Him
in Righteousness u to Holiness, 19,22.
GENTILES
ARE TO BE OBEDIENT TO GOD’S JUDGMENTS AS STATED BELOW—AS WELL AS OTHER
COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD—mentioned in other scriptures!
Col 3:12-Put on
therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness,
humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 -Forbearing one
another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even
as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. {quarrel: or, complaint }
14 -And above all these
things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15 -And let the peace of
God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye
thankful.
16 -Let the word of
Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another
in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to
the Lord.
17- And whatsoever ye do
in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and
the Father by him.
23-And whatsoever ye do,
do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Vv. 17-22 tell us to have
husbands, wives, children, fathers, bondservants are to do.
Col 3:24-- Knowing that of the Lord ye
shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
25 -But he that
doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no
respect of persons.
NO PARTIALITY!
DEEP REPENTANCE IS REQUIRED OF WRONG
DOERS amidst gentiles, who were arrogant NOT TO EAT sanctified food sent by
God, 1 Tim 4: 1-5, those who dishonoured His blood, Heb. 10: 26-31, for
lawlessness, 2 Thes 2: 8-11, for liars, Ps. 120, TO SEEK GOD’S MERCY! THESE ARE DEEP LESSONS FOR ISRAEL, NOT TO BE HAUGHTY, BUT TO
HUMBLE BEFORE GOD WHEN THEY HAD BROKEN COVENANT!
We
are to be perfect and complete in the will of God, Col 4:12 message to
Colossians has to be read in Laodecia, Col 4:16.
We
are to take heed to the ministry which we have received in the LORD, to fulfill
it, Col 4:17
We
have to love in the spirit, Col 1;8, as we heard and know the grace of God in
truth, vs. 6. We are to have all wisdom and spiritual understanding, vs. 9
We gentiles were given ministries of SPIRIT, ministry of New Covenant,
AND ministry of Righteousness, 2 Co 3: 6-9---then we are to heed to it, Col 4;
17.
We are to teach commandments of the LORD as it is His doctrine, 2
Jo.
Col 1:10--That ye might
walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work,
and increasing in the knowledge of God;---produce fruit unto God,
Rom. 7: 4. As we are married to Him, Rom. 7: 4, joined Him by SPIRIT, 1 Co 6:
17.
Col 1: 11- Strengthened with all might, according to His
glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
12 - Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to
be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:---gentiles
were made saints in the LIGHT!
13 -Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated
us into the kingdom of His dear Son: ---THAT IS HOW WE SERVE HIM!
Col 1: 14 -In whom we have redemption through His blood, even
the forgiveness of sins:--Gentiles forgiven by His blood, Eph. 2; 13.
15 -Who is the image of
the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16- For by Him were all
things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and
invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers:
all things were created by Him, and for Him:
17 -And He is before all
things, and by Him all things consist.
18 -And He is the head of
the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that
in all things He might have the preeminence.---
19 -For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fulness
dwell;
20 -And, having made peace through the blood of
His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him,
I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. –IT IS
BY HIS BLOOD THAT HE RECONCILED GENTILES TO HIM TO SERVE HIM, in house of God,
honoring His Sabbaths, and covenant, Isa. 56: 2-7.
Since His Throne is as the days of heaven, Ps. 89: 29, we are as
serving in heaven, as angels, Lu 20: 35, 36.

Gentiles are to be sons of light and

1 Th 5: 5-- Ye are all the children of light, and the children
of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 -- Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch

LORD
gave a new commandment to love one another-
1
Jo 2:1-11
1
Jo 2: 1--My little children, these things write I
unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate
with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2- And He is the
propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the
whole world.
3 - And hereby we do know that we know
Him, if we keep His commandments.
4 -He that saith, I know
Him, and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him
5 -But whoso keepeth His
word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in
Him.
6 -He that saith he
abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.
7 -Brethren, I write no new commandment
unto you, but an old commandment which ye had
from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from
the beginning.
8 -Again, a new commandment I write unto
you, which thing is true in Him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
9 -He that saith he is in the light, and
hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
10 He
that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none
occasion of stumbling in him.
11 -But he that hateth his brother is in
darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth,
because that darkness hath blinded
his eyes.
12 -- I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s
sake.----LITTLE
CHILDREN---should know that THEIR SINS ARE FORGIVEN ---FOR HIS NAME’S SAKE----those who KNOW HIS NAME---should not
wait TO BE FORGIVEN----THEY ARE FORGIVEN ALREADY!!
WHEN GENTILES BECAME LITTLE CHILDREN---THEIR SINS WERE FORGIVEN BY
THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST, Eph. 2: 13, Eph. 1: 7.
Therefore
JESUS CHRIST gave new laws, Heb. 7:12 to be fulfilled with love—
Rom. 13:8-- Owe no man
any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled
the law.
9 -For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou
shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou
shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly
comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as
thyself.---they are old commandments
---
10 -Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the
fulfilling of the law.---
Old commandments are to BE
FULFILLED WITH LOVE! That is the NEW COMMANDMENT!
1 Jo 2: 7 -Brethren, I write no new commandment
unto you, but an old commandment which ye had
from the beginning
He
also gave us “LOVE” added to them when He poured HIS SPIRIT, 2 Co 1: 22.
Rom. 5: 5-the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the
Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Prophesying
edifies men of God,
1 Co
14:1-- Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may
prophesy.
3 -But
he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and
comfort.
4-
He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth
edifieth the church.
5- I
would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for
greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he
interpret, that the church may receive edifying.—
Therefore prophesy edifies and exhorts
men of God and comforts them, but if they do not have love, it is
vain—
We see ‘LOVE’ explained by word of God
in 1 Co 13. Each one of us should examine ourselves to see whether we have love
by reading 1Co 13.
TRUE LOVE—OR
CHARITY--
1 Co 13:1-- Though I
speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become
as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 -And though I have the
gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I
have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am
nothing.
3 -And though I bestow
all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have
not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 - Charity suffereth
long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not
puffed up, {vaunteth … : or, is not rash }
5- Doth not behave itself
unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6-Rejoiceth not in
iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; {in the truth: or, with the truth }
7- Beareth all things,
believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8- Charity never faileth:
but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues,
they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. {fail: Gr.
vanish away }
9 -For we know in part,
and we prophesy in part.
10- But when that which
is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. {done away:
Gr. vanish away }
11- When I was a child, I
spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I
became a man, I put away childish things. {thought: or, reasoned } {put away:
Gr. vanish away }
12- For now we see
through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then
shall I know even as also I am known. {darkly: Gr. in a riddle }
13 -And now abideth
faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
There are good lessons
and exhortation to all of us-we are to grow!
Rev. 22: 12 -And, behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with
Me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 -I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first
and the last.
14- Blessed
are they that do His commandments,
that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the
gates into the city.
15 -For
without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and
idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16 -I Jesus have sent Mine angel to testify unto you these
things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the
bright and morning star.
1Co 15:31 --I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ
Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
Paul
kept growing in the grace of God by dying daily, thinking of LORD’S HELP
through HIS CROSS, TO GROW DAILY.
2Pe
3:18 -But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus
Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever. Amen.
ALL
GLORY AND HONOUR, PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING BE TO JESUS CHRIST WHO GIVES US
SALVATION THROUGH HIS CROSS, AMEN AND AMEN.
