WHY MOSES WAS PUNISHED BY LORD AND WAS NOT ALLOWED TO GO TO THE PROMISED LAND

Nu 20: 8--Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.

9- And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as He commanded him.

10 -And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?

11 -And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.

12 -And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed Me not, to sanctify Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.—BOTH Moses and Aaron were punished---as seen below in Nu 20: 24, Nu 27: 12—14, Deut 34: 1—7.

Nu 20: 13 -This is the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the LORD, and He was sanctified in them.

SO IN ABOVE VV. WE SEE WHAT HAPPENED---Moses was asked to SPEAK to the ROCK –but he smote it----LORD’S VOICE WAS NOT HEEDED, TO OBEY EXACTLY FOR WHAT HE REQUIRED OF Moses,  leaders of ISRAEL SHOULD HEAR GOD’S VOICE AND TEACH ISRAEL TO OBEY THE VOICE OF GOD ALMIGHTY!

Moses fell into that sin because of rebellious people as seen in vs. 10--

Nu 20:10 -And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?

But LORD looks at the LEADERS FIRST---they should obey God’s words to do them, Jas 1: 22.

One thing is that Moses was disobedient to God in the sight of ISRAEL people---THE OTHER SERIOUS MATTER IS DISCUSSED IN THIS ARTICLE---read to understand…

The following vv. show that Aaron and Moses rebelled against the VOICE OF LORD’S COMMANDMENT---

Nu 20:24 -Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.

Nu 27: 12-- And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel.

13 -And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.

14 -For ye rebelled against My commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify Me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.

Moses’ death--

Deut 34: 1 -And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,--4  And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.

5 - So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.

6  And He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.

7 -And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.

Deut 34: 8  And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.

9 --And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.

10 -And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,11 -In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,

12 -And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.

SO LORD’S MIGHTY POWERS AGAINST Pharaoh WAS SHOWN BY GOD’S SERVANT Moses, to strengthen LORD’S PEOPLE ISRAEL!!

Moses a god to Pharaoh –(Those who get word of God are gods, Joh 10:35).

Ex 7:1 -And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

God required ISRAEL to serve Him, and that message was given to Pharaoh by Moses and Aaron, Ex 9:13, Pharaoh refuse to HUMBLE BEFORE GOD ALMIGHTY, Ex 10:3. Pharaoh knew that he is sinning against God, yet he refused to send ISRAEL away, (We see that in Ex 10:16—23, there was DARKNESS FOR 3 DAYS IN Egypt, when ISRAEL had light!).

Moses was such a great man in serving God when God humbled Pharaoh in red sea, Ex.15.

Nu 12:3 -(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)—Miriam and Aaron were against when Moses married the Ethiopian, and grumbled, but LORD was angry, punished Miriam with leprosy, for seven days, Nu 12: 1-15.

LORD knew of Moses that he is faithful in GOD’S HOUSE, see below--

Nu 12:  5--And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.

6  And He said, Hear now My words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.

7  My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all Mine house.

8-  With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?

9 -And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and He departed.

10 -And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous,

SO THEN WHY DID LORD PUNISH Moses SO THAT HE WAS NOT ALLOWED TO GO TO THE PROMISED LAND??

2 -And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

3 -And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

4 -And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

This SPIRITUAL ROCK is found in wilderness, Isa. 42: 11, when ISRAEL church, the woman is in wilderness, Rev. 12: 14.

We should listen to the Father of Spirits to live, Heb 12:9, He is Almighty God, Rev. 1: 8, JESUS CHRIST, Isa. 9: 6, Isa. 54: 5.

THE ROCK THAT GAVE WATER AT MERIBAH pictured JESUS CHRIST THE ROCK THAT GIVES SPIRITUAL WATER in wilderness! ROCK IS IN WILDERNESS, Isa. 42: 11, WHEN ISRAEL CHURCH IS IN WILDERNESS, Rev. 12: 14.

Moses used the ROD to SMITE the ROCK, without SPEAKING TO THE ROCK!

SPIRITUALLY----Moses should have spoken as commanded ----

We are to PRAY TO GOD---and ASK FOR WATER!

1Jo 5:8- And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

1Jo 5:6 -This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

Re 22:17  And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

JESUS CHRIST is everlasting life, Jo 17: 3, He has the water of life, Rev. 22: 17, Spirit is truth, 1 Jo 5: 6, HIS LIFE GIVING WORDS ARE SPIRIT, Jo 6: 63---

Therefore---spiritual should be compared spiritually, 1 Co 2: 13---

 Spiritual people cannot be judged by any man, 1 Co 2: 15---since they search through SPIRIT, 1 Co 2: 1-15.

When ISRAEL failed through unbelief, LORD grafted some gentiles, but ISRAEL would be saved when they believe, Rom. 11; 17-26, these gentiles serve LORD, Eze. 30: 3, 9, Rev. 11: 1-4, La. 1: 15, as they are given the Righteousness of God, to condemn leaders, Isa. 54: 17, gentiles were given SPIRIT, Joel 1: 28, 29 to serve ISRAEL, Isa. 14: 1,2, so they serve SPIRITUAL THINGS, as servants (ministers who serve) of New Covenant, servants of serving SPIRIT, servants of serving LORD’S Righteousness, 2 Co 3: 6-9. Therefore those gentiles who did not depart from faith, (Some would depart, 1 Tim 4: 1-5), would BRING HIS SPIRITUAL THINGS WHEN LORD IS ESTABLISHING THE New Covenant, Eze. 16: 60-63, with the same church which broke the covenant, and they would be as mother to the rest of the separated sister churches, Eze. 16: 59-62.

Whatever we need would be given when we SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD—AND HIS Righteousness ---

Mt 6:33 --But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.---LORD is faithful to perform what His words say! ---

HIS NAME is WORD OF GOD, during the time HIS BRIDE IS PREPARED, Rev. 19: 7, 8, 13. SO LOTS OF THINGS WOULD BE EXPLAINED THROUGH WORD OF GOD!

Lu 12:31 -But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Mt 6:33 --But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness

·        Where could we SEEK HIS Righteousness???

·        How do we seek kingdom of God??—

Joh 3:3 --Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Then a believer has to seek kingdom of God, and His Righteousness ----

BY SEEKING TO BE BORN AGAIN---

All those could be found by Baptizm unto His death, to be born again in newness of life, Rom 6: 3-7, which gives HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS UNTO HOLINESS, to serve Him, Vs. 19, 22.  THE MINISTRY OF ISRAEL WHO BROKE COVENANT, HAS TO SEEK HIS BAPTIZM TO BE BORN AGAIN TO SERVE IN KINGDOM OF GOD!

A believer has to PRAY AND ASK THOSE THINGS FROM JESUS CHRIST, THE ROCK!

WE SHOULD NOT USE THE ROD TO STRIKE HIM, to BE AGAINST HIM, OUR LORD AND MASTER who GAVE HIS LIFE FOR US----BUT HUMBLE OURSELVES TO PRAY AND CRY UNTO HIM asking for His water, His spirit!

PRESENT DAY ISRAEL LEADERS SMOTE HIM----they broke, crushed, bruised HIS COVENANT! ----PCG BROKE HIS COVENANT, when LORD had SAID Lev. 22: 24, 25—

Smite means cut, sliced, chop….

Lev. 22: 24 --Ye shall not offer unto the LORD that which is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut; neither shall ye make any offering thereof in your land.

25 --Neither from a stranger’s hand shall ye offer the bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them, and blemishes be in them: they shall not be accepted for you.

But PCG did against Lev. 22: 24, 25---in Eze.44: 7 (see below), Eze. 16: 59, as they had the covenant, Eze.16: 8.

Eze.44: 7-- In that ye have brought into My sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in My sanctuary, to pollute it, even My house, when ye offer My bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken My covenant because of all your abominations.

Now PCG is serving in the bruised, cut covenant ---COULD LORD ACCEPT SUCH POLLUTED THINGS FROM ISRAEL????

Then LORD said to PCG leader to do as Ezekiel did, Eze.24: 24, and we prove that this leader of PCG is the leader who represent Ezekiel as he lost his WIFE through a STROKE---Eze. 24: 16.

Eze.24: 16-- Son of man, behold, I take away from thee the desire of thine eyes with a stroke:-- 18  So I spake unto the people in the morning: and at even my wife died;---ONE MAY ASK PCG LEADER WHETHER THIS DID NOT HAPPEN???

Now the LORD had profaned the Sanctuary in the midst of PCG—

Eze.24; 21-- Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the excellency of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left shall fall by the sword. ---The SWORD of the LEADER, which is his own words that are like a LION TO DESTROY THE LAND, Jer. 2: 30, comes to PCG congregation, their next generation forms sons and daughters ---they would not survive---that means PCG cannot make another generations to carry on the duties of ISRAEL church, Rom. 9: 4, 6, the church of ISRAEL named after God’s name!

But JESUS CHRIST corrects them through HIS SWORD, which is WORD OF GOD, Eph. 6: 17. LORD shows them how they ought to accept His forgiveness through His blood, and the way He makes a new seed through His sacrifice, Isa. 53: 10.

JESUS CHRIST is the seed of Abraham, Gal 3: 16, --

Gal 3: 29-- And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

TO MAKE A SEED THROUGH HIS GRACE, HE DIED ON THE CROSS, TO GIVE SALVATION TO ISRAEL, REDEEMING THEM FROM LAW, --

Moses, the servant of God was punished in his days---he had to die---

BUT PRESENT SERVANT OF GOD, and his followers would be shamed, Eze.43: 10,11,  and would be brought to make the New Covenant, giving HIS LAWS, Eze. 16: 60-63. It is the Eternal covenant of peace, Eze.37: 21-28.

Joh 11:25 -Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:--Paul wrote how we are dead--- Gal 2: 19 -For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.

Gal 2: 21-- I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain--

Righteousness to serve in the Eternal covenant promised to Abraham, Gen. 17, cannot be received by LAW---but through THE DEATH AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST!

THROUGH HIS GRACE HE DIED TO SAVE BELIEVERS because ISRAEL HAD DIED THROUGH LAW! ---HE OFFERED HIS BLOOD OF THE COVENANT TO MAKE A NEW COVENANT!

OTHERWISE THEY WOULD BE DEAD THROUGH LAW!

BECAUSE CHRIST DIED, --IT BENEFITS believers---

UNLESS HE worked through HIS GRACE, TO DIE AND TO BE THE PROPITIATION FOR SIN, for the whole world, 1Jo 2:2, the covenant He had with Abraham WOULD HAVE ENDED when ISRAEL BROKE THE COVENANT, Eze. 16: 59, in the end of SEVENTY years given them, Isa. 23: 15, Jer. 25: 10, 11, Dan 9: 24-27.

Is it not smiting the ROCK when leaders teach against commandments, as false teachers?

Is it not smiting the ROCK when leaders NEGLECT daily and continual?

Is it not smiting the ROCK when His Sanctuary priests do not humble themselves to cry unto Him to come out of captivity when they are in captivity, Jer. 33: 24-26, Eze.12: 13-15, La. 1:3, when they are to come out through the BLOOD OF THE LAMB, Zec 9; 11?

La. 1: 5 says of multitude of transgressions---MEANS THEY HAD SMITTEN THE ROCK through THEIR TRANSGRESSIONS AGAINST THE ROCK--

READING Lamentations leaders could understand what had happened in the city of God---(a few vv. are explained below)--

La. 1: 1 -How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people! How is she become as a widow! She that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary!—church congregation had not grown, not blessed by God, God had left the church and hiding as gentiles know of it, Eze. 39: 21-23, and she is LIKE A WIDOW, she was the PRINCESS, Eze. 16: 8! Now broken that covenant, Ex. 16: 59!

2 -She weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies.----she weepeth in night—because IT IS NIGHT prophesied FOR HER, Mic 3: 6---she has to wait for MORNING STAR, please read of that night and morning star in ---

La. 1: 3- Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwelleth among the heathen, she findeth no rest: all her persecutors overtook her between the straits.---responsibility of Judah was given to PCG in endtime, Eze. 16: 8, Isa. 22; 20-24, but she failed, Eze. 16: 59, Isa. 22: 25, Ps. 74: 9. The persecutors of church are ITS LEADERS who does not understand, LORD’S things. they did not know Lev. 22: 25, and did Eze. 44: 7!

4 -The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: all her gates are desolate: her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness.

Although the FEASTS are KEPT----GOD DOES NOT ACCEPT WHEN SERVING WITH INIQUITY, Isa. 1; 12-15---then what is the purpose of KEEPING FEASTS? ---The ways of Zion do mourn!

La. 1: 5- Her adversaries are the chief, her enemies prosper; for the LORD hath afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her children are gone into captivity before the enemy.----ADVERSARIES, ENEMIES ARE THE LEADERS WHO DOES NOT WANT TO OFFER THEIR SERVICE IN TRUTHS OF GOD!!

6 -And from the daughter of Zion all her beauty is departed: her princes are become like harts that find no pasture, and they are gone without strength before the pursuer.----HOLINESS AND Righteousness GOD EXPECTS FROM Zion IS NOT FOUND!!!----the leaders have famine of the word, Amos 8: 11 (No pasture), so they cannot REPLY THE GENTILE WORK, when gentile 1^st born have NO FAMINE, Isa. 14; 30.

LEADERS FINALLY UNDERSTAND IN La. 5—

La. 5: 1- Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.

2 -Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.—gentile 1^st born of poor are eating what ISRAEL has to get, Isa. 14: 30! This is LORD’S DOING!

3 -We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers are as widows.—God is hiding, Eze.39: 21-23, so leaders who has to feed congregation as mothers are AS widows!

4 -We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us.—LORD gives water, wine, milk without money, Isa 55:1

5- Our necks are under persecution: we labour, and have no rest.---PCG has to work hard finding world news!!---NO REST!!!

6 -We have given the hand to the Egyptians, and to the Assyrians, to be satisfied with bread.—COULD PCG SEE---LORD considered leader as Pharaoh, Rom. 9: 17 (To show His power!)----Pharaoh is compared to Assyrian, Eze. 31:1-3!

ISRAEL should guard themselves from lying lips which are against commandments of God!). 

10 -Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine.—FAMINE of the word is SEVERE, Amos 8; 11.

11 -They ravished the women in Zion, and the maids in the cities of Judah.—Judah in captivity, La. 1: 3---since NO MAN is found in Zion, Jerusalem, Jer. 5: 1, “A MAN” is one who could judge uprightly, seek truth, Jer. 5: 1, 2 King 2: 2-5, when the men are NOT LIKE SPIRITUAL MEN, they are women, and are ravished by LORD’S WORK amidst gentiles!

14 -The elders have ceased from the gate, the young men from their musick.---NO proper work in God’s city by ISRAEL. His chosen!

La. 5: 15 -The joy of our heart is ceased; our dance is turned into mourning.---Jer. 25; 10---says----“I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle.11 --And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

16 -The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!---leader, the prophet is NO MORE, Ps. 74: 9, and CROWN REMOVED, Ps. 89: 39.

17 - For this our heart is faint; for these things our eyes are dim.—Laodicean blindness, Rev. 3: 17----ONE SHOULD SEE HOW GOD’S WORDS FULFILL!

18 -Because of the mountain of Zion, which is desolate, the foxes walk upon it.---THE FOXES---BEASTS are leading God’s mountains which are desolate, LORD MAKES IT TOHU AND BOHU, watchers from a FAR COUNTRY publish, Jer. 4: 16, of desolations as tohu and bohu, Jer. 4: 17—31 (Please read those vv., for God says the truth that had happened in HIS LAND). God says His people are foolish, and they do not understand!

La. 5; 19 -Thou, O LORD, remainest forever; thy throne from generation to generation.---SINCE LORD IS ALMIGHTY, Rev. 1: 8, HE HAD PAVED THE WAY TO MAKE ISRAEL NAME REMAIN BY CREATING NEW HEAVENS AND NEW EARTH, Isa. 66: 22, therefore---ISRAEL GENERATIONS WOULD REMAIN BEFORE HIM, THAT IS HIS PLEASURE, Rev. 4; 11, Eze. 37: 21-28, ----therefore ISRAEL generations would worship Him as said in Isa. 66: 23, that is HIS WILL—

Isa. 66: 23-- it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, saith the LORD.

(New moons are BEGINNINGS OF MONTHS AS APPOINTED DAYS, Nu 28: 1, 2, 9-14)

20 -Wherefore dost thou forget us forever, and forsake us so long time?---PEOPLE WHO DID AGAINST HIM, Eze. 16: 59, SHOULD KNOW TO HUMBLE THEMSELVES BEFORE GOD OF WHOLE EARTH!!

21 -Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.—THUS THEY SHOULD CRY UNTO HIM ASKING TO RENEW THEIR DAYS, LORD SO GRACEFULLY HAD OFFERED HIS Baptizm unto His death, to be born again in newness of life, Rom 6: 3-7, which gives HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS UNTO HOLINESS, to serve Him, Vs. 19, 22. ---therefore, GOD’S PEOPLE SHOULD OBEY HIS WORDS, to be baptized unto His name!

22 -But thou hast utterly rejected us; thou art very wroth against us.—GOD’S PEOPLE SHOULD HUMBLE THEMSLEVES AND PRAY TO THE ROCK TO SAVE THEM, please continue to read Lamentation book in bible, God says the sins of leaders of God’s church, in present times they judge congregation and do things in Sanctuary according to how people in the world do----but God had set His own counsels, judgments to be done in His Sanctuary, in Jerusalem, Zion!
